Weekends are generally the best time to play. They usually attract more recreational players, which can create softer games. That said, the best time is whenever you're mentally fresh, focused, and playing your A-game.

I think weekends are usually a good choice, especially in the evening. There tend to be more recreational players around, which can make the games more interesting and unpredictable. That said, I think the best time is ultimately when you are focused, relaxed, and able to play your best

It all depends on how much time you have. Unfortunately, I often lack it. I think if you have enough free time, you can play 5-7 days a week.

It depends on your goal, if you're a Cash Game player, for example, it's better to play on weekends, because recreational players aren't at their day jobs and tend to be playing Poker, so the tables become easier to make money at, just one example.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of weekends—the variance is very high—but it is interesting to play when the weekend is winding down, because a lot of recreational players are already drunk! To reduce tournament variance, it’s a good idea to play side events with low guaranteed prize pools that aren't very appealing; this shrinks the field and attracts fewer recreational players.

I'd lean toward weekends for tournaments, especially during peak hours, because the fields are usually bigger and often have more recreational players. For cash games, I'd focus more on table selection than the day itself.

I don’t think the day makes much difference when playing online, but if you’re playing live, I think weekends are probably the best time. There will usually be more players, and they tend to be more recreational players who are hoping to make some money. They’re also more likely to play looser, which can make them great players to win money from
