Are You Paying Attention to Bet Sizing?

For a long time, I focused mostly on when to bet—but not so much on how much to bet. Big mistake.
Bet sizing can completely change a hand. Same spot, same hand—but different sizing can mean value, bluff, or protection.
I’ve started thinking more about what I’m trying to accomplish with each bet. Am I targeting weaker hands? Trying to deny equity? Or setting up future streets?
It’s crazy how much more control you get when your sizing actually has a purpose.
How do you approach bet sizing? Do you use standard sizes, or adjust depending on the situation?

Yeah for sure, everything you do needs to be with a purpose. I always ask myself what I’m trying to accomplish before I take that action. On the reverse side of that, ask yourself what your opponent is trying to accomplish with what they are doing, then ruin their day and crush them! Good luck!
