Some players at live tables talk nonstop, joke around, and try to create a friendly atmosphere.

Other times it can be distracting, especially if someone is constantly talking during hands.

Do you enjoy having talkative players at the table, or do you prefer quieter games?

If I ever play live poker, I will adapt to any type of players. If they are talkative, I can enjoy the atmosphere and stay focused. If the table is quiet, that’s also fine for me. The most important thing is to stay concentrated and make good decisions.

It depends on what he's talking about. If it's someone who has a fun and respectful conversation, then that's fine. But I've had bad experiences with players who, after every action another player took, would criticize that person's action and say they were playing badly.

I’ve experienced this a few times online and ended up losing some hands due to misclicks. Live, there’s naturally more interaction and exchange of experiences, but focus is just as important in both formats. So, in my case, most of the time my focus is on the game in both.

I enjoy having some chats while playing, and well I don't really go to casinos, so I play with people I know so it is nice to have chats. Even online reactions and all sorts of interaction is nice.

I don't mind when there's conversation at the table, unless it's disrespectful or overly heated. In a tournament lasting hours, a little conversation can be important to alleviate the boredom.

Talkative people - I would talk and change communication in my way, maybe flirt with them or just challenge them and take their money, distraction is beautiful! 😂

Sometimes is better to be quiet when you have some ladies at the tables... 😉

I really love a talkative table, it’s just more fun and enjoyable for me. I am a friendly person so I always so hi to my neighbors when I get to my table. I don’t ever talk strategy though, but when they do I listen real close because people love to give away how they play, what they had, etc. there are so many times that I’ve played on stoic tables where no one says anything, it’s like a statue contest lol it’s just too boring. But I love live poker because you never know what you’re going to get. I actually find that when I’m more friendly and talkative that I get more action than when I’m stoic and mean mugging everyone lol

It depends on what they are talking about. I like when they talk the strategy they are using during the hand. I hate the wild drunks who don’t talk about the game.

Honestly, it depends.
Some players talk to create pressure, distract you, or fish for information. If you stay focused, it can actually work in your favor they often reveal more than they should.
Other times, it’s just noise. Too much chatter can break your rhythm and make it harder to think clearly.
Personally, I don’t mind it as long as I’m disciplined. The key is simple: listen when it’s useful, ignore when it’s not.
At the end of the day, the cards say more than the words ever will.

Without a doubt, there is nothing better than interacting with the other players at the table and commenting on the moves. When I am paired with talking players, the table and the tournament become much more entertaining.

I actually like talkative players, but not for the social aspect. More information, more patterns, more mistakes over time.

If someone is chatting a lot, they’re usually less focused and more likely to give things away, timing, emotions, even hints about their range. As long as you stay disciplined and don’t get pulled into it, it’s just another edge to use.

It depends on what they're talking about. If it's within the bounds of respect, I have no problem listening to players who are talkative; it's very entertaining. But when it turns into insults, I wouldn't accept that.

I’m somewhere in the middle. A friendly, chatty table is great for the atmosphere, but there’s always that one player who takes it too far and starts talking strategy or commenting on every hand… that’s when it gets irritating
