I tip dealers - usually $1 for any pot over $10 and $2 for pots over 80. I can hardly wait for the day when I win a bad beat jackpot and can tip the dealer even more.
In the US and canada, most dealers are making minimum wage and tipping is considered part of their wage.
Sounds like a terrible job, no wonder you quit. I don't tip dealers either - it's unfair to others who also work for very little money and don't get tips. I have a moral issue with having to subsidize the employees of a casino.
Any Winning hand I tip. It's always been a thing and I will never stop. Yes In Theory I'm losing more of my stack then I should be but if Im playing balls to the wall poker the extra $100 a session shouldn't matter. I view it as simple as tipping a waitress/waiter
