What do you think about ppl still wearing a mask during the game? Hiding tells?

I've never played live. But if I played, I certainly think I would wear a mask, I think that playing live I would end up giving a lot
tells, and a mask would help hide them.

It's there right to where a mask if they want to and covid 19 is still around some people are very afraid of it.

I don't know, could be hiding tells or could be they don't want covid or the flu etc., I had both in November-December one right after the other, it wasn't fun👎

I play live and if people want to wear a mask, ski goggles, whatever I don’t care. It’s not easy picking off a tells anyways and even when you do it’s hard to know if it’s a reliable tell or not. The tournaments I play people hide their face with their shits anyways if they think they are giving off tells so what’s the difference?

I don't have any problem with people wanting to wear a mask at the table. It that what they want to do to block tells or to avoid getting me sick or to just protect themself from getting sick it OK with me.

Wearing a mask or not is a personal choice and so I have no issue with it either way A thing that I found interesting though......some time ago I read an article that said that wearing a mask does not do much to protect the wearer but it does help prevent spreading it to others

I haven't played live since COVID hit but if and when I do I will wear a mask, mainly to hide tells but also for the peace of mind it gives me to wear it when out in public. I know it is not 100% effective but if it helps even a little it is worth it in my opinion.

As someone who needs to wear a mask, I hope everyone wants to wear one for whatever reason

And like Ron says, it is not 100% effective BUT not touching your mouth or nose will help you not catch viruses and keeping most of your germs to yourself is super beneficial to everyone <3

Technically if you wore glasses it would help you not touch your eyes and all ports of germ entry are protected

Hello, Wega85! I think, the causes can to be the most different... This is personal free choice!
Possibly, this remained by habit, when many people wore the masks during the COVID... That's it!

Hard to argue against the science. I hate wearing one personally. Ppl still wear them on public transport and that makes sense really.

i should wear a mask whenever i play live ( which is not much ) but i usually forget to bring one to the casino . more for safety, even if limited , than to avoid giving off info .

I was never seeing anyone as a potential health-threat for me. Wearing a mask in my eyes is to isolate themselves in the name of health, but that is original for everyone. Faith is above the circumstances, whether they probably not always favouring us as first sight...

During the two years of Covid I wore bandanas like the robbers in the old westerns.

That way they looked like a nice kerchief when I had them pulled down. I hated the damn things but the way I looked at it is I know that it made other people feel better and safer.

It definitely is. I was pretty much speaking of the two years that we had the mask mandates. I personally didn't care for it and didn't advocate either way on the issue, but I put up with it for the reason I posted above.

they just hide their faces so they don't see their reaction or they're just shy people. There are different ways to wear masks, that's why some people are really afraid of getting sick and getting infected from other players. That's why they wear a mask, but there are other reasons
