Do you ever notice yourself playing too fast?

I recommend you don't do that, us professional players can detect your strength based on bet timing versus bet size, I have a fixed time for all my bets, for example, 5 seconds.

Yes, especially if I’m only playing 1 or 2 tables. I’m already an anxious person, so when I’m playing fewer tables, I tend to make decisions way too quickly.

Sometimes online I'll make a decision almost instantly, then a few seconds later think I probably should have taken more time.
It's usually not because I don't know what to do. I just get into a rhythm and start clicking pretty quickly.
Do you ever deliberately slow yourself down when you notice you're getting into autopilot?
Lmao there's nothing wrong with "playing too fast" although sometimes it does seem like opponents in your table most likely do not understand how you make your move in split second when they take atleast 5-6 seconds (or 10+) to come conclusion what to do lol ...

I dont, every hand I play, I also screenshot and save and analyze (100s of hands per sessions). I try to be fully aware of everything, educate myself and get every hand in with long term ev. Analyzing helps me find leaks and stay aware of not autopilot, or make calls where you know you are beat but so curious.

Only exception is re entry phase when I know it can be +EV to use several bullets, like large MTT fields with low buyin, or ocassional on the Zodiacs, as my goal is still to win an Zodiac avatar. Have had like 5 FT and 2 heads-ups, one for Tiger and one for Ox. Unfortunate run outs.

Peace and good luck on the tables.

Yes, it happens frequently, and the problem comes when it affects your game, either out of anger or simply because you show that you wouldn't retire with certain hands, which in turn influences the decisions of your opponents.

To play too fast in NLHE I'd almost have to be betting before all the hands are dealt. With PLO I take a little more time because there is more to figure out.

Absolutely, sometimes slowing down and thinking through each decision makes all the difference. Patience is a powerful weapon at the poker table!

I think it comes down to each player's style; generally, I don't play more than three tables, which allows me to stay attentive to my opponents' playing styles.
