I definitely play better when my stack is displayed in big blinds rather than chips. Big blinds give me instant information about my effective stack size and make decisions much easier, especially in tournaments.

When I see chips, it's easy to get attached to the actual amount and think in terms of winning or losing money. Seeing everything in big blinds helps me focus on strategy instead of the monetary value of the stack.

For example, "I have 25 BBs" immediately tells me what kind of ranges and plays I should be considering, whereas "I have 125,000 chips" doesn't mean much without knowing the blind levels.

I still keep an eye on chip counts when necessary, but for day-to-day play, big blinds help me make more objective decisions and avoid emotional reactions to swings in my stack.

Big blinds... at first I played with chips, but after learning with my friend, now it's only in BB. And if the platform doesn't support showing hands in BB, I stop playing on it.

When you see big blinds, it’s immediately obvious how many bets you can commit without thinking too hard. For example, if you’re 50 BB deep, it’s clear how many raises or shoves are viable. Chips alone are abstract—you see 3,000 chips but have to convert in your head how many big blinds that is.

I prefer to see large blinds.
When I only see chips, I don't always have a clear idea of the actual size of my stack. With big blinds, it's much easier to know if I still have room to play or if I'm entering the all-in/fold zone.

I only play in BB and I don't feel comfortable playing with chips in blind, you have more idea of what you can or can't do

I started using BBs after they introduced the option, since most decisions and content are discussed in BBs. But I didn't mind using chips before that.

In MTTs, thinking in big blinds is a requirement for survival because the blinds are constantly increasing.
I also found this quote which states that using BBs is good because poker teachers may use them in their videos:

If you look at educational poker content, a lot of it talks in terms of how many blinds you have, how big the pot is in big blinds, how important blind to pot ratios are etc.

Tbh i always play with chips. Playing BB throws me off. On live tables we only have chips so i guess thats where it comes from.

Tho i do find it interesting to read you all prefer BB. Maybe i should give it a serious try on online tables for a while and see if my mind changes it's bias.

I always have stacks and pot size shown as big blinds whenever possible. Chips are kind of meaningless, especially when you play tournaments with different starting stacks.

Chips are dollars and as such are better for me. I don't base my betting on big blinds, and way over a half century of dealing with dollars is much easier and comfortable for me.

when playing MTTs i almost always have the tourney chip counts displayed . if/when i get near the bubble or when the blinds/antes get big i will switch back and forth to big blind numbers .

I'm not sure if I play better, but I prefer seeing my stack in big blinds because I don't have to keep doing the math.
When I'm short-stacked, I switch it to chips because the numbers look bigger that way.

Seriously though, I switch to chips when I'm down to around one big blind and want to calculate more accurately whether I can survive long enough to reach the money. I also use chips when I'm playing games other than Hold'em, such as Badugi or Omaha.

I think it's better when I see big blinds, so I don't have to think too much about how much to bet; almost everyone chooses to put their chips in the big blinds.

I actually prefer chips. Seeing the actual chip counts helps me visualize the size of the pot, stack relationships, and how much is at risk in each decision. After playing a lot, I naturally convert chips into big blinds anyway, so I leverage both thoughts.

I like playing poker with chip counts. I can't really explain why, but I've always played that way, and when I switch to BBs, it just doesn't feel right to me haha.
