I feel like I should play the same on both, but I definitely play better on PC. When I’m on my computer, I’m fully prepared with music and everything set up to focus properly. On mobile, I feel much more distracted since I’m usually doing other things while playing. In theory it should be the same, but in reality it isn’t.

Yes, definitely. On PC I play much more focused and disciplined because I have better visibility, HUD/stat support, fewer distractions, and it’s easier to multi-table. On mobile I tend to simplify my strategy a bit, play fewer tables, avoid marginal spots, and focus more on straightforward value decisions. Mobile is great for convenience, but for serious grinding and maximizing EV, PC feels much better.

I think it depends on the person. For example, I feel more free when I play on my phone, but that’s just because of the mobility it offers. I haven’t noticed that I play any differently because of it; I take the cards just as seriously as I would if I were playing on a PC.

Fun fact i am a linux user and GG forbid me to use virtual machines. So i have no other opportunity then using mobile poker. And i get really used to it and dont miss the PC version. I would never believe this myself in the past.

Good morning everyone. I started playing poker at the end of 2018, and the difference between playing poker on a laptop, on a computer with a large monitor, or on a cellphone is huge. Lately, I’ve been playing on my cellphone, and the main difference is that I end up playing hands that I would never play on a computer for one single reason: lack of patience. Playing on a cellphone is very bad because you only play one table, at most two, and you eventually lose patience and start playing absurd hands.

I busted from a tournament on PartyPoker that had only a few players remaining. I shoved for more than 20 blinds from the small blind versus the big blind with Q7 offsuit, and the villain had AK. It was a terrible mistake. I should never play Q7 offsuit in that situation. First, I shouldn’t even call versus a 3x raise from the small blind, let alone turn it into a 3-bet shove for more than 20 big blinds.

So, the main factor is the lack of patience when playing on a cellphone.

Mobile 100% gives you the freedom to move around and it's also better because I don't like PC screens.

Yeah, definitely. On mobile I tend to play a bit tighter and simpler since it’s easier to miss details or timing tells. On PC I’m more comfortable multi-tabling, taking notes, and making thinner reads because you can track the action way better.

Mobile has less info in front of me. Find myself opening and closing screens.

definitely on mobile I'm not as much concentrated as on PC. And if the tournament starts really late I often continue to play on the phone in the bed and sometimes I fall asleep. It happened to me recently I was on FT and unfortunately fall asleep :D

Yes, I find it bad on my phone because I can't open more than one screen at a time. I think I concentrate better on the PC; playing games with my phone in my hand ends up being quite tiring during a long session.

Most of the time I play on my cell phone, but only 1 table at a time, that way I can concentrate better.
On the computer I usually open 2 tables, and I end up making some mistakes that I don't make on the mobile.

I almost never play games on my phone. I think I played the same way, but I don't feel comfortable. The keyboard and Alt+Tab are very important to me. It's something that a phone can't emulate/replace.

I like playing on mobile vs PC but after reading many of your comments it makes sense to have better focus on PC than mobile.

I do feel like I play looser on mobile, probably because I'm on the go and not paying as much attention to the others at the table

Playing on my phone is mess around time while I'm doing other things. If I am playing seriously I need to be on a computer.

Mobile allows me to play from the toilet, which is a game-changer for two reasons. Number 1 and Number 2.

I am a Linux user so i have no other chance then using mobile to play poker. I tried to play with virtual machine and installed (ugly) windows but GG quickly warned me. So playing Poker on smartphone has some benefits but i still prefer playing on PC.

Although it may seem the same, the truth is that it isn't; concentration changes and can cause you to lose focus.
