Do you prefer displaying your stack in Big Blinds (BB's) or chips....

I like it in chips, its better to get used to chips when you sometimes play live.

I do flick to BBs regularly to check and, but try get used to regularly calculating them for myself too

When we use chips, we need to calculate how many BB we have every time we put chips into the middle. Playing with BB is just easier.
For me, the only reason to play with chips would be to train before the live game. But usually I prefer to play witch BB and focus on different aspects instead of calculating chips to BB all the time.

I usually have my stack displayed in BB, and only use the chips setting when playing live poker — which makes sense, i guess

And honestly, if someone finds it difficult to convert their stack to BB themselves, maybe it’s worth brushing up on the 1×1 to 10×10 tables first. 😎 It’s not exactly rocket science, and probably a useful skill to have before sitting down at a poker table. It’ll also come in handy when you’re trying to work out the % chance of hitting your outs — which, you know, is kind of useful at a poker table. 😉😄

Hey, what does everyone prefer when playing tourneys - your stack to be displayed in Big Blinds (BB) or chips....

I used to play with chips at first when I was new to the game - but as time went by, I realized playing with the BB display helped me maneuver better on games and when to be aware that I had to starting pushing before I start sinking and also how to maintain an average stack size...

What are your thoughts??
Only in BB

I prefer to play using BB when multi tabling.
If I have 1-2 tables left I can switch to chips

Given the answers in this thread, how are more people not complaining about Replay poker? Lol

I do prefer chips, but I find it super easy to gauge people in final table fast with button like in 888.

I like displaying my chips in big blinds; I find it easier to keep track of my stack size that way, which is why I always do it—though since both options are available, I do switch back and forth sometimes.

I like chips, because often the BB count is wrong because they dont include the antes.

2/3 of the antes go to the BB and 1/3 to the SB.

At intial play with chips
And after at bb will help a lot

I’ve always played with numbers and have always been good with them. I believe I’m close to succeeding in major live tournaments, and I hope that my love for numbers will help me play a strong game!

In the past, poker rooms didn't offer the option to display stack sizes in bb. Now, however, this feature is available on virtually all sites. It is very convenient, as you don't have to waste time calculating your stack; personally, I prefer seeing my stack in bb.

I've always used the stack. I want it to feel as close to live poker as possible and work it out for myself I couldn't even imagine using bb.

Even though poker study materials are expressed in BBs, I still use chips out of habit.

I've gotten used to the chips, but it makes no difference to me.

I prefer playing with chips. I’ve always played that way, so I’m used to it and it feels much more natural to me than displaying stacks in BBs.

I prefer displaying my stack in big blinds. It makes it easier to judge my position relative to the blinds and plan my decisions as the tournament progresses.

Good morning, everyone! In my opinion, it's much better to display it in big blinds. Since I multi-table, I don’t need to do any math to know how many blinds I have. Poker is a very complex game where you need to pay attention to the players, your position at the table, the MTT structure, and many other things. Whatever you can do to make your job easier, do it.

Definitely big blinds. In tournaments, chips are just an abstract number that changes constantly with the levels. Switching to BB makes it so much easier to instantly know your push/fold thresholds and pot odds without doing mental math on every street.

Absolutely and all the time using the BB method, as the chip count is horridly misleading after a certain point.
