online poker allows us to play hundreds or even thousands of hands much faster than live poker. Because of that, it seems like playing more should automatically lead to more experience.
But I'm wondering if playing a large number of hands is actually useful if you're not reviewing your decisions afterward. Is it better to play a lot and learn through experience, or play fewer hands and spend more time studying and analyzing difficult situations?
How do you personally balance playing and studying when trying to improve your game?

As Yuri Martins says - STUDY, TRAIN AND PLAY

study = always, what you need to do,
and sessions depends on your goals i think .

Good morning, everyone! The right way is to study hard and practice, because poker is an extremely complex game to play at high stakes. At micro stakes, maybe it's possible to just play and, over time, a player can become profitable. At high stakes, studying hard is absolutely necessary. I watch a player on Twitch who is excellent at mid stakes and studies a lot; he said that when he went to play high stakes, he was blown away by how difficult it is to play against the best in online poker. I started playing poker in 2018, and only after several years did I join a poker team, where I learned to bluff much more, check-raise the flop, and probe turn. Just with a few lessons I had with other players, it already improved my game a lot. Studying is very important, and practicing is too.

Playing more and more will give you experience but it's what you do with that experience that makes you better. You have to put in the effort to review your hands, read up or get advice and change how you play. The majority of players out there play for years and never improve. They refuse to put in the effort or believe that they may have significant leaks in their game. Instead they blame the rigged site. Play more hands will only help if you use that experience to make changes in your game to improve. Getting better is a choice, not a given.
