Perhaps due to shyness, or simply because I’ve grown accustomed to not frequenting live poker rooms, I have always preferred playing online.
I feel more at ease; facial expressions and gestures don't matter during the game since players cannot see one another.
online poker offers anonymity, as players are behind a screen, eliminating the possibility of reading visual cues or body language.
Players can focus more on strategy without the distraction of verbal expressions.

Online poker is massively more convenient than live poker. Games run 24 hours (although not all games), you can play for small amounts of money, if you want to, you dont need to travel to the casino, and you can play from your bed or couch dressed in underwear.

I prefer live games; the same people come to live games, you quickly notice everyone's playing style and get to know people fast, so the atmosphere at the table is friendly.

I've never played live Poker, but these facial expressions aren't always important, each person is unique and has their own expressions, there's no way to guess what they're thinking, it's all guesswork.

I prefer online poker. It's more convenient, I can play whenever I want, and I like being able to focus purely on the strategy without worrying about physical tells. I still enjoy live poker occasionally, but online is definitely where I feel most comfortable and play my best.

Ok, tell me how you would manage to read my expressions if every time I played a hand I put on sunglasses and covered myself with a coat, just like the guy in the photo below.

You’re not like that all the time... And ofc the body language can be interpreted by other parts of body, not only the face.

Um, I get it!
If you use a little imagination, you will notice the frustration or satisfaction of your opponents upon receiving your cards!

Nothing quite like live poker, online tries to copy it but other then the game itself there not even close, live poker is more exiciting and a completely different game.you must always be aware of everything, your spidey sense and reading abilities need to be sharp

The competitors at live tables are generally less talented and it is usually easier to pick up clues . Your tablemates came to play and don't want to just sit there folding all day .However , it is a slower game and can be quite boring while waiting for a playable hand/position if you are a disciplined card player . Rakes can be prohibitive also . Online poker allows you to play multiple cash tables , MTTS, or SNGs in any combination ,so you can be in action almost continuously if you seek that , and variance should be lower . Your opponents tend to be more experience though . Make your choice and good luck !

Less time wasted:
You don't have to travel to the casino.
You don't have to wait for the cards to be shuffled, chips to be counted, or players to arrive.
You can start or end a session in seconds.

Not everyone covers himself like this. Lots of people, especially amateur players, show tells or emotions while playing. Especially in high pressure spots.

[X] confirmed, u never played live poker.

The experiences are totally different. In live you can socialize more, loosen up, have a drink, have some fun. And I think it should be a go to to everyone at least once in a while. I prefer online too, because of the volume, the comfort of home, having a movie or some nice tunes in the background, but still, they are vastly different experiences.

I prefer playing online because you can play multiple tournaments at the same time; it's better and less boring.
