What is your goal exactly? Do you think maybe your target is a little too high? Playing for 10 hours straight is a very long time, and I think it can really affect your focus and decision-making. Sometimes playing fewer hours with better concentration can be much more productive.

It's very difficult to pinpoint an exact number of hours. It depends a lot on the day, how you're playing, and what you're playing — there are a lot of factors involved. You can make a profit in two hours and lose money in ten, or vice versa.

How many hours do you need to spend playing to make good money?

It's tough to say as skill and even the 'luck' factor can influence both short and long-term results for poker players... your win rate (usually closely related to your poker skills), the stakes and games you play, bankroll management (both for poker and IRL stuff) etc. will be huge factors towards your poker career... I'm a 'serious' recreational player and I study/play a lot more than even some 'pro players', I do have quite a few IRL friends (online friends from different communities too) that live from playing poker and one thing they have in common is that they see poker as a job and they grind 30–50 hours/week... still, as a side note, another thing they have in common is that nowadays is so much tougher to make 'good money' from poker!

Honestly, 10 hours is already a lot. I don't think there is a standard number of hours that guarantees good money in poker. Some days you can hit your target in a couple of hours, other days you can play all day and still miss it.

I'd probably worry less about the hours and more about whether you're playing your best. If I'm sitting there for 10 hours just trying to reach a number, that's when mistakes and chasing can start. I'd rather play a shorter session while I'm focused and judge the results over a longer period, not one day at a time.

There’s no standard number of hours. 10 hours is already a long grind, and more volume doesn’t guarantee more profit.
Focus on playing your best, taking breaks, and judging results over the long term, not day by day.

I don’t think there’s a fixed number of hours that guarantees good money in poker.
Game selection, skill and bankroll management matter much more than simply playing longer.
I’d rather play fewer focused hours than grind while tired or tilted.

To save time during long sessions, I personally find 6-max tables much more exciting than full ring 9-max. In 6-max, the game flows faster, you can play a wider range of hands, and there is more room for post-flop maneuvering. 9-max can sometimes feel a bit too slow and tight for my taste.

Hi,
First is 1000hours of practice is likely a good amount of time to play before starting the am grind.
Then number of hours per week, maybe surprise you but imo 2hrs a day is the best for life balance. I don't believe in big money happyness and future on a 24/7 basis. Besides without a pro structure it is not easier.

That being said I'm not myself up the balance, shark score 70
