Well, I am of the opinion that it's not about luck, it's about learning to play the right way and making the least amount of mistakes, knowing how to take care of your bank and knowing that there are all possible possibilities at the tables, you have to be 100% focused when playing.

online poker has more variance because you play many more hands per hour than live poker, so you'll experience bad beats more frequently, people often think that it's luck based but it's not

I'm going through a rough run of bad luck in poker right now, but I know it's only temporary and things will eventually return to normal. The most important thing during these downswings is not to let them affect your decision-making or keep you from making the correct plays.
