How important are player notes in online poker for you?
Do you actively write notes on opponents, or rely more on memory and HUD stats?

Taking notes on your opponents is an excellent tool for improving your game. Knowing how to identify your opponent's playing patterns is important for decision-making.
The HUD also helps a lot in identifying the player's momentum.

I mostly play on my phone, so good note-taking tools are essential. I think GG Poker does a great job of implementing this feature, but unfortunately, the 888 poker mobile App doesn't have a convenient option for taking notes on players, which is a bit disappointing 🤷

I use the tool in GGPoker, too. But Most likely only If the player does some unreasonable shoves. Just to know that you cant take his actions serious 😂

But documenting patterns is sth. I should definitely start with.

Player notes are very important for me in online poker.
I actively write notes on opponents, especially on regulars I face often.
Things like bluff frequency, shove ranges, sizing tells, and tilt behavior become very useful later.
Memory helps, but during multitabling it’s hard to remember everything accurately.

HUD stats are useful too, but notes give more specific reads and context about a player’s tendencies.

Online poker provides a huge advantage: the ability to take notes on opponents.
A simple note like "calls too wide" or "bluffs missed draws" can become very valuable later.
The more information you collect, the easier future decisions become.
Do you regularly take notes during your sessions?

They are very important because you won't always remember everyone who plays, and a simple note can help you a lot in a crucial moment or even to know how the player usually plays.

It's important to write down important information, not just in poker. Over time, some information gets forgotten!

Yes I put notes, it's important if you play regularly, there are some rooms where you can't like wpt, I hope they fix that.

As long as you understand how well the other player plays- if he's loose or aggressive or if he plays standard hand or has a very wide range- I find that's the most important thing. What are the chances you will play another session or another tournament together? I don't write anything down, but I take mental notes. On GG, for instance, a lot of information is already available, you see his VPIP, his 3 bet percentage or how much money he's made. If somebody has cashed for 2 Million, that player, for sure, does not play passive.
