Hey. I'm just starting out with poker. What's the most profitable variant right now? What do you think about spin@go? Which room has the best conditions for making money? Thanks for the help.

It depends on what you enjoy most. Texas Hold'em is the most popular and has plenty of action, while Omaha offers more complexity and bigger swings. I'd say try a few variants and see which one fits your style best.

I’d say start with low-stakes cash or standard MTTs — they’re more beginner-friendly than Spin&Go. Spins are fun but super high variance with heavy rake, so not ideal for building a bankroll. For rooms, look at PokerStars, GG, 888, and pick whichever has the best traffic and rakeback in your region.

Spin&Go can be good if you like fast games.
I've been playing for many years and I love it.
But it doesn't hurt to train yourself, because it's not as easy as it seems.

Good morning, everyone!
Answering the question “which variant?”, whenever you ask something related to poker, the word you’ll hear most often in the answer is “it depends.”
It depends on your goal in poker — whether you play just for fun or to make money and live from the game.
In my opinion, you should study all the variants and poker formats to see which one you enjoy the most and which best fits your playing style.
Some players prefer cash games, others Spin & Go, and others MTTs.
I’ve been playing poker since 2018 — I play cash games for fun and MTTs to make money, but every player has their own preferences.

Poker has become faster than before. The best way to play a leisurely game and make a small profit is to load up a couple of SNG tables, but the best way to quickly lose your bankroll and go on tilt is spins. You might as well go to the casino and play.

I am against those who said that spin and go is a good format. Two points:
-It's pure luck
-Such high rakes

Go to traditional MTTs os SNGs

Look at which format you enjoy the most. When I started, for example, I began with Sit & Go’s. I don’t really like cash games, and later I moved to MTTs.

Right now, the most consistently profitable poker format is cash games, especially No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha, while Spin & Go tournaments can be lucrative but are highly volatile. The best online rooms in 2026 for making money are GGPoker, BetOnline, and WPT Global, thanks to strong rakeback deals and softer player pools.
