Hi everyone,

I enjoy playing online poker because it is convenient and there are games available at any time. At the same time, I think the biggest challenge is the level of competition. Many players study strategy regularly, use tracking tools, and make fewer mistakes than before.

Another challenge is staying disciplined. It is easy to play too many hands or continue playing after a few bad beats. I have learned that taking breaks and managing my bankroll are just as important as knowing poker strategy.

What do you think is the biggest challenge in online poker today, and how do you deal with it?

The biggest challenge is to not be this guy at the tables.

For me, one of the biggest challenges in online poker today is staying disciplined and consistent. There are so many tournaments and so much information available that it’s easy to get distracted or chase losses.
You also have to deal with a lot of variance, especially in MTTs. Even when you’re making the right decisions, you can still experience long losing stretches. Staying patient, managing your bankroll properly, and continuing to improve your game are what I find most challenging.

The edge available to a human player is becoming smaller as poker becomes increasingly mathematical, automated, and efficient.
And that edge has several layers: Average player → learns GTO → becomes a regular → all regulars study GTO → solvers emerge → AI/RTA tools emerge → the human edge shrinks → rake ultimately eats away at the small remaining advantages.
And that, more than variance or even technical skill, could be the defining battle for online poker over the coming years.

Great topic! For me, the toughest part of online poker right now isn't just the tougher competition—it's the rise of RTA (Real-Time Assistance) and bots. It changes how you have to view your opponents and makes game selection incredibly important.
To deal with it, I try to play on sites with strict security and focus heavily on developing exploitative strategies against regular players, rather than just trying to play a perfect GTO style.

For me its just finding good games.

SNGs dont seem to exist anymore and I am not a big fan of 5 hour late reg or playing with bots.

also extended rebuy periods benefit the platforms but make the game a crapshoot

For me, the biggest challenge in online poker is actually myself. 😂 It’s not the other players or the level of competition, but staying disciplined and making good decisions when things aren’t going my way. When I’m winning, everything feels easy. The real challenge comes after a few bad beats or when I start losing chips. That’s when I have to control my emotions, avoid playing too many hands and not try to win everything back immediately. I think learning to control myself is probably more important than learning another poker strategy. The cards and the other players are out of my control, but my decisions are not

Greetings...
For me, the biggest challenge of online poker has two sides: the users' side (that is, us mere mortals:LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::LOL:) and the room's side.

Poker rooms are in constant, fierce competition with each other. They have to update constantly, offering better game innovations, prizes, etc. Sometimes we forget that the most important thing is the traditional and basic, BUT WITH TRANSPARENCY and easy payment and withdrawal options. TRUST IS THE FOUNDATION of choosing a particular room.

As a user, I want a poker room with a smooth interface on all devices, not cumbersome or difficult to navigate to, so I can easily find what game I want to play. I want it to be transparent and inspire confidence.

Basically, the challenge for a poker room today is keeping users because the competition is fierce.

Hey @TeUnit,

Looking at your awards, you've won more than Jordan, Schumacher, and Messi combined, hahahahaha. Congratulations, you're outshining the rest of us.
