I've been playing some low-stakes online poker recently and I'm finding it quite interesting. A lot of players seem to call raises with very wide ranges, and sometimes it feels almost impossible to figure out what they actually have.
Because of that, I've been trying to avoid bluffing too much and focus more on value betting when I think I'm ahead. At the same time, it can be frustrating when you raise with a strong hand, get several callers, and then the flop comes something completely unexpected.
I'm curious how more experienced players approach these games. Do you try to play close to GTO, or do you go much more exploitative and simply adjust to the players at the table?
Also, how do you deal with opponents who seem to call almost everything preflop? Do you just increase your raise sizes, tighten your range, or take a different approach?
Would be interested to hear what works for everyone at the lower stakes.
