I was thinking more from the historical side of poker, but the branding angle makes a lot of sense too. The spade is probably just the most recognizable symbol.Bipin07 said:Good observationthis comes down to branding- legal- design strategy, not poker rules.

I've seen all those logos and maybe more, but I have never paid attention to them closely.ne0npipe said:I found Black Chip Poker using a club instead, while other platforms avoid suit symbols entirely.
Pokerstars compilations on youtube have the best commentators. Also, what’s funny is that when I originally made this thread, I didn’t even notice there was another spade logo right in front of me. The forum itself uses a spade in the top-left corner.moots said:I think the most famous one is the PokerStars logo

Fun fact: in French the ♣ suit is Trèfle (clover), but in English we call them clubs from the older Italian bastoni (sticks/clubs) suit used before the French deck became standard.FoxMS said:Never paid attention to that. But interesting.
I guess if I were to create my own poker room, I would use a four-leaf clover and my CC nickname. It would be something like:
🍀PokerFox
About a decade ago, a poker site closed that had a four-leaf clover in its logo:FoxMS said:Never paid attention to that. But interesting.
