Good video, it confirms what I have written in other forum threads. I think like the man in the video and understand exactly what he is talking about

I have always heard people complain about how rigged online games are and how many more bad beats there are, but it is simply how many hands per hour you see online compared to in person. It feels like a lot more, it is not. It is not rigged. Bad beats happen.

It mostly happens in tournaments with a lot of players, I think the platform algorithm is designed to find the most aggressive players and give them an advantage when facing passive players.

I totally agree . More hands per hour dealt means more bad beats. Logical

When we play online, we end up playing more hands and more times because of the practicality and facility.. Soon the variance will be higher too, consequently, the bad beats will happen more frequently too.

I may be wrong but I used to have the same idea.

Sure. Nothing has changed since start of poker. It has been the same math ever since. Just that the psychological mind retains bad beats more than the wins thus the perception of newbies that there's a lot of bad beats out there.

Bad beats are present in both live poker and online poker, there is no difference.

We notice that there are more bad beats in online poker because we play a lot more hands.

I know what he said is true and the real thing happens, but it's annoying, it's very annoying and frustrating when it happens to you, having a lot of bad beats

Humans tend to remember unusual outcomes more than "normal" outcomes.

If you get more hands per hour you are going to see more unusual outcomes.

I agree that you see more hands and therefore more bad beats. But, if you're seeing more than average, it could possibly because of your strategy in these games. Are you limping into pots with premium hands? Are you just calling with those pocket aces when there's 3 or 4 others ahead of you in the hand? The more players there are in a hand the more likely you'll see a bad beat.

Great video and exactly right. Online is not rigged but players who see one bad beat over 2 hours live comparing 2 hours of 4 tabling and wondering why they see more bad beats, it about the volume they are playing.

It was refreshing to see that this wasn't another "IT's rigged thread" but with just a different name.
Sadly, I think the 'riggies' won't bother to watch the vid. (as is evident already in the comments)

Well if you play 4tables or more at the same time and you do that for 6+ hours daily ofc course you have more chances of bad beats.. Being on a tournament table live isn't the same because you do that just once
