Daniel Negreanu is still a legend in the world of poker, he has been in the center of attention many times. I think we will always marvel at his accomplishments. That he lost a fortune (for some news protagonists) does not change his value and achievements,..... in the end maybe he allowed himself, or felt comfortable in the eventuality of a doubling.

What's wrong with marketing yourself well?

He has turned a passion/hobby into his main job and tries to get the best out of it and seems to be very successful with it.

Even if he were a bad player (which I don't claim), it would still be all the more remarkable that he is still so popular and successful!

Regardless of whether I personally like him or not, performance should always be recognized.

Poker grows and flourishes through people like Daniel and that's what we all want, isn't it, dear poker community!?

It seems that you are losing to much and you are just jalours he has some millions on his bankaccount.

The things I've read about, BIG name poker players, almost all losing players, only their sponsors keep them alive... So a player wins a tournament with a big total prize, then they drop the amount back, and some even double it, because they enter tournaments with a large buy-in fee... but the featured celebrities are of course sponsored by gg or stars or one of the well-known gambling companies, so they always have something to start over!

Great and honest video, because it shows how big the swing are for all the hightstacks/pro players. Few good or bad tournament can realy make or break an entire year earning in poker. Usually, among poker players, everyone talks about the winnings they have collected, but not the money they have lost because it is not recorded. 2024 will be interesting year for Dnegs., let see if he can get out of that huge drawdown.

Goes to show how important it is the way you run at a certain point. As he says, competition is way stronger today than it used to be and you're not only depending on your play anymore. Got to win those all-ins and flips to get far.
Also nice to see how he sees the mistakes he made (too many tournaments and playing while not feeling like playing) and is prepared to correct them. Nothing else but the right mindset from kid poker.
