15,000 entrants today in Pokerstars $22 MicroMillions MainEvent. Famous poker book author, Dara O'Kearney has a deep run taking 14th place.

Just a little over $1,000. Not too bad for a $22 investment!

How many of you all skipped this one due to Pokerstars being such a crappy site?

14/15000, So top 0.1%, quite the achievement with such a large field. Congrats to him !
(although I don't play much on Stars nowadays)

I think this is bigger news for PokerOrifice than it is for Dara.

I think he just wanted to show that the site, despite what lots of people say on the forum, is still alive and their tournament series is going well.

Upon checking a bit the lobby he saw a familliar name under the top 100. Yes thats not a special cash for Dana u are right but still quite the run in such a large field and approx 50 x buy-in won.

Guess this should have happened on GG to really count as "news" for you 😅

Yes that was almost certainly the point. Getting 15.000 entries for a $22 tournament and also attracting famous players like Dara O'Kearney is quite impressive. If 888 Poker hold a similar event, what could they hope to get, like maybe 500?

Yeah would be under 1k participants most likely

15,000 runners in a $22 Micro Millions event is very solid numbers but then Pokerstars always could get and will likely always get good numbers for their big events/series. Some will hate it but Pokerstars is still the 2nd best and biggest site and it's not even really close. Wish I could have played in this one but sadly had other things to do on Sunday that couldn't be put off.
