The submission site was abruptly removed a couple of hours ago. Not just my two suggestions...the entire site! It now redirects to GOP.com.

We were #1 in two big categories and were all tweeting the RNC chair with the results. The site initially stated it would be up until Sept. 29th. I was even receiving auto-emails all morning informing me about comments posted to the suggestion.

Funny how it abruptly went down.

Thought it was odd it was scheduled to stay up past the start of the convention--or the only free speech they actually support is one that agrees with them.:eek:

Yes, it was a little odd to which to keep it up through Sept., but it was even more strange to pull it without a trace with no notice.

I guess they found reason to pull it down. :mad: I'm glad we're getting noticed. :D

This is a good action for Republican poker supporters to take, as it can help the GOP give more credence to poker rights and limited government principles. It's good action for Democrats, Libertarians, and independents to take too, as poker needs all the supporters it can get. So, let's all do this!

I think this is a noble, yet futile cause to contact the politicians. They had no business in the first place when they added the bill to the Port Security Act. And anyone who signed it should have been immediately voted out of office the second time around.
Good luck trying to get through to our self-serving politicians. I just have become too apathetic at this point to give a damn about trying to convince them to do the right thing.

UIGEA was added to the SAFE Ports Act in the Senate, but it passed the House as a freestanding bill by 317-93. So, it had plenty of support, unfortunately. IMO, that was partly due to poker supporters not reaching out. We as a community have addressed that, which has helped greatly. Let's keep it up!

  3. The House Energy & Commerce Committee's new site fails to mention anything about HR 2366, the Online Poker Act, despite the fact that this bill is in that committee! Let's make and like posts on Rep. Fred Upton's Facebook wall asking for inclusion of HR 2366: HERE
