I personally know my state senator, and a house of representatives member, one of which is quite crooked, the other quite the opposite and i have spoke to both numerous times. It doesn't look like Kentucky will ever address the online poker issue because they just aren't interested in the whole deal. But Kentucky is wanting to keep the horse industry alive, and it seems the politics here are geared toward that end. Now, if i was the 11th richest man in the world, you can bet things would be different in Kentucky, without a shadow of a doubt.The most irksome thing to me is, Kentucky has NO law against us playing online poker, but we are excluded from 95% of all gambling sites. I'm sure it has something to do with the failed attempt by Kentucky to seize 141 domains awhile back. Sigh, but i still send an unending stream of letters to the Capital.

It's cleverly worded to sound like they are seeking a clarification of the Wire Act language, but it's really in support of a new bill -- the proposed Internet Gambling Control Act.

The casino issue has been such an issue that it's been hard to add to it. Fortunately, as you mention, it seems Churchill wouldn't mind making a move into poker.

I have a meeting with my Congressman, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), set up and am organizing a group of five or so poker supporters to attend with me. The meeting is at his Crescent Hills office (I-75 and Buttermilk Pike, in northern Kentucky) on Thursday, January 23rd, from 4:45 pm - 5:15 pm. Can you join us?

is this the same organization that is partly funded by by Las Vegas Sands Corp. Chairman Sheldon Adelson, is part of the group’s overall push to restore a federal ban on Internet gaming,and is alleged to circulating a letter warn of online gambling could lead to money laundering by criminals.

I wish this online poker ban would come to a close. I don't see why the government want to ban poker when there's no talk about the online casino's.
