And so today brings the end of the wsop 2026 coverage for Canadians. How lame! For those who were watching the events for the first time this year, I must say the coverage was much better when it was on PokerGO. Hearing tonight that there'd be no coverage going forward for Canadians was the final straw. How lame can you get?

What is the reason behind this decision? Do you know? Is it all of Canada?

I haven't been watching the streams lately, is this some sort of inside joke?

Oh...is it because it's switching from Youtube to ESPN?

Here's the broadcast schedule:

That is so dumb of them. Sadly I wont be able to watch the main event since i don't have ESPN. Wish they would put it on Poker go after the series so I can watch. I will be dropping then soon since they have nothing new worth paying for it.

Youtube has some coverage. I have watched the odd tournaments on there when I have time available.

So they did show Day 1A on Youtube (again). Ali announced the day before that this would be it for Youtube and only available on ESPN + going forward.
Great to see 'The Night Shift' back today (Ali & Nick are by far the best commentating team going)

And they're gone again :(

Couldn't believe it today when I was no longer to watch the WSOP Main Event. I spent a couple of hours earlier this afternoon searching for it. Finally found a guy who is streaming it on Twitch.
maletastyle is their name on there.

They did stream for about 20 minutes today, but then they ended it and it got deleted. Not sure what happened.

maletastyle twitch stream was shut down :(

There's another one going but the streamer is commentating on it in Spanish and he has the 'Night Shift' commentators muted. You can still see the table and the cards though. (better than nothing).

marsoe23 on Twitch

Jeff Platt stated on 'X' that it's a problem with Google that is keeping the Youtube stream from happening. Stated it might be running tomorrow.
Seems so ridiculous. Can you imagine this happening with another 'sport' or large event?

Yeah, that's really disappointing. It feels like poker should be easier to watch, not harder. A lot of fans look forward to the Main Event every year, so cutting off coverage for Canadians is a pretty frustrating move. Hopefully they sort out the rights before next year's WSOP.
