Has anyone been tempted to spin next to the registration button instead of paying the buy-in?

Have you actually won a seat into a tournament, or is it a suckers bet? Any fun stories about how you got into a big tournament from a spin?

Yes,you can actually spin to get into a tournament or do a re-entry.How many times spins are needed depends on luck tho.Sometime only a few spins, sometime more.

I have won entry this way, but it was only into a micro ( 50 cent) buy in. Think it cost me a nickle in spin cost.

Do you have any experiences with the Spins?

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like the $0.55 tournaments provide the best value for Spins.

That is good to know. How many times have you tried it, and what percent would you assign to it? So you tried 100 times and got in 80 times?

ive spun way into 10.00 re entry so was out one time a couple times got back into 3.30's but thats about it for me. I dont have a lot of luck with the spins but also dont try too hard 10 15 cents is tops then give up. At pennies I do know a lady who uses quarters in up to 10.00 buy ins she has hit a few with minimum work or loss using quarters

I spun into 20 dollar tourney. Took about 12.75 but was worth it. Place in the tourney but I think it's worth the try to spin it

You got in for less than the buyin, but I don't know if I would have the heart to keep spinning.

Sounds like I shouldn't try the spins?

I keep looking but have never seen the spin to win button. Guess I'm just challenged. I would love to try it once or twice. Is there a certain amount game it works on?

Below is a screen shot where the spin should be for all tournaments, and it should work on all tournaments with a buy-in. I know that it works on all tournaments that are $0.55 and higher.

I think it is like a slot machine: may get lucky, but if ya keep trying, it is a losing bet.

odds are more than likely not in your favour. But asking other people really won't help your odds at all you know? It would kind of be like asking people who play the lottery if they won.. Obviously you are going to find winners, but it is all random luck. GL bud, I didn't even know you could spin to get in like that, thanks for the info!

It was more of a poll to see how many winners and losers are out there. If you look at the responses, then you'll see that most people are losing. So yes, it is random, yes the odds are stacked against you, and yes you should not waste your time with spins :)

I've had good luck with spins. I guess my best was a .01 spin to get into a 2.00 tournament. The odds are posted on their site. If you try to spin into a .50 tournament and are betting .01, you have a 1 in 50 chance. For a 1.00 you have a 1 in 100 chance. Pretty straight forward.

As of today, the payout is 98%, so over time you will lose 2 cents on the dollar for using this over just buying into the tournament. If you can't afford the buyin for a large tournament, it could be a lottery ticket to get you in if you get really, really lucky. For tournaments you can afford, just buy your way in.

$.01 spin to enter a $1 tournament gives you a chance of 1 in 98.
$.01 spin to enter a $10 tournament gives you a chance of 1 in 980.
$.01 spin to enter a $100 tournament gives you a chance of 1 in 9,800.

I've fallen for the spin to get in trap many times, but purely because I had a few cents left in my account at any given time and thought it would be cool to win a seat for pennies. I've been able to win a seat twice using it, but the best one out of the two was when I had a spare 10 cents in my account and decided to use it on a spin to get in on a $20 tourney seat. I luckily hit the jackpot with the very last spin I was going to use! Would not recommend it as a strategy of getting into tournaments, but if you have a spare nickel in your account, might as well test your luck!

I know this is digging up an
Old thread but I figured I’d share the latest results I’ve had with its spin to win option. For micro tournaments under $1.10, I’ve had consistent success on both entry and reentry with spin set at $.01.
On an $88.00 buy in tournament , spin was set at $5.00 a spin and it went through my entire balance of $475.00 and I did not get in the tournament. Stubbornl On a $22 buy in I spent $18.25 spin was set a $1.00 and at $0.25 it took $36 to re-enter once and $16 to re enter a second time.
Several $4.40, $6.60 and $11 buy in tournaments have resulted in going over the buy in price by more than double the buy in.
