Carbon bad updates
 
Mine seemed to take a long time, but, it finally worked.

I was about to cancel the update, close the application and re - open. Maybe

you can try that.

When I run the client and it upgrades the software, I get the following message:

"Required resource not available" "Unable to retrieve a required resource, please contact support"

This means you are not connected to the internet correctly, or your computer is having trouble reaching our configuration servers. Check your internet connection, firewall and try again. Failing that, please contact customer support who can guide you through resolving these networking issue.

Mine was the same as natsgrampy, took longer than usual, but was fine.
