adjustament. all i have been hearing lately are problems on merge. time to find some good deals and take your talents to other sites

I think alot of it has to do with the legislation in that area. Some are a little more strict than others. Sorry to hear about you getting booted though. It's real unfortunate, and honestly I see it slowly happening to all of the US unless they pass a law that makes it ok (not saying its illegal now but its definitely frowned upon) to play poker and gamble online.

Sorry to hear about this. I have a friend(and teammate in a league) that got the same news. Truly is a shame. Especially in yours and his case, as you have been members of Carbon for 6+ years. It seems like it is becoming "standard" with Carbon, (at least as of late) log-in, and every few weeks they ban a new couple of states and a country. As WEC said, they could do this in a much more professional and player friendly manner (even if the outcome is banning of a state,) a well drafter e-mail to the affected players and/or and PR statement would go along way.

That may apply for US states, but hardly to Sweden and Finland.
Swedish residents have always been able to play at all sites world-wide.
This is the only case I know of a poker site closing to Sweden, and probably Finland also.

Yeah I was just speaking on the US terms. I've been noticing that internationally governments are starting to tighten up a little. It may just be a precaution so it doesn't have them shut down completely. Hopefully something changes for the betterment of the game for all players.

I'm in the grey area there as far as getting my funds Ranny, they didn't send me an email either, prior to or after getting "suspended" account. And according to their terms of service, they don't have to have to tell you jack, or entertain any correspondence with you. "We have the right to terminate any account for any reason unfettered", lol in other words, there ain't nuthin' you can do about it bud. I knew something was up a few months ago, and i posted this too, but i guess every body thought i was full of it, and disregarded it. My 1st cousin works in the department of justice, and while he is tight lipped about what's going on there, occasionally i can get a tiny bit of info out of him. Look for some new shake ups to happen this year, the gov. has to get "aligned" just to make things happen for U.S. poker to advance to the federal level.

Fortunately I had already cashed out all I had there.
Hope, and assume, that people will get their money!

This is what i can gather from carbons stand point on the "more free" countries being eliminated: the player base is not large enough to continue providing services to those countries. Jeeez.

Carbon or the merge network for that matter tends to change their "decisions" about KY, however Bovada has never shut us out!!

@samano, yea, it's crazy huh, Kentucky has no laws on gaming online, yet the fool governor goes after 141 domains, which now is 132 due to sites shutting down or leaving the U.S. market.

So I live in Sweden, therefore I also been getting the "Your account has been disabled. Please contact Customer Service to continue." msg when I tried to log in to Carbon. So today I took some time to chat with Carbons support and figured I would share:
Support: Hey *Me*, how are you today?

Me: Hello I just tried to log on and got "Your account has been disabled. Please contact Customer Service to continue." what is up? :/

Support: Please hold for a moment while I look up your account...

Me: tnx

Support: Regrettably, we have decided to cease offering online gaming services to accounts from your state (Sweeden). This difficult decision was made after much deliberation.

Support: We thank you for your business and sincerely hope that at sometime in the future we’ll be able resume offering services for our loyal members in your area.

Me: why no info mail?

Me: and what about withdrawals?

Support: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.

Me: k

Support: I see no available funds to withdrawal on your part.

Support: Excuse me I see funds on your Carbon account.

Support: You have $xx. Let me see what we can do about that.

Me: Also what would happen to my acc if I moved to Denmark?

Support: Let me check on that...

Support: The $xx on your account where charged as management fees.

Support: Accounts from Denmark have remained open. So if you open one based in Denmark you could play.
As other have said it seems that they just stopped doing business with ppl in Sweden. Nothing to do with any laws in Sweden. This Without even a short info mail...😡

As always do not keep money you can not afford to lose in places like Carbon. :deal:
