How do you turn on and use 2FA on PokerStars ?

A thread about having $7 on it and getting hacked for unauthorized credit card deposit has gotten me worried.

I thought since I dont have 4 digits on PokerStars I dont need to be concerned with 2 factor authentication but now I am thinking I need to use it right away.

I have tried to locate a video on it but have come up empty.

I am pretty good at following general instructions and locating things when directed though.

Anyone have the skinny on this?

go to settings - account details - sms security options

Dunno what you mean???

If I went to guess, maybe you mean sign up process, first with your ID and PW, and second time with PIN identification ...

I have it like this since almost a year ago, but they invented it for me after my account was frozen suddenly, not upon my request

Thank you. I validated my number but I cant seem to tick off the box that says:
Enable Log in Validation by SMS, as it is greyed out.

Do I need this ticked for it to use my cell phone as an authentication point ?

Help. Follow up question.

Whats weird is I log in as I always did with just my password. I thought 2FA would require me to enter a code sent to my mobile phone when I try to log in on the computer to verify that its me.

Isnt that how 2FA is supposed to work?

the 2FA only activates when you/anyone else login w/ your account from new device thats never been associated w/ your account before
