tickets are usually given a couple of hours before the tournament! sometimes 2 at once, sometimes 1, and sometimes they give nothing for the whole day!

First of all you need to know whether the Country you live supports on-line gambling, If they ban it then PokerStars cannot award you any chest's or tickets to play, It is unfortunate but that's the way it is.
America for example do not allow on-line poker neither does Spain and that is why players like Maria Ho and Shaun Deeb have moved to Mexico so they can play in WCOOP events on PokerStars.
Andrae Mateos has moved from Spain to England for the same reason.

unfortunately the majority do not. Another question is, is poker worth so much of someone leaving their homeland for it?

No starcodes lately, only twitch freeroll promotions, tickets for freeroll you can get by watching PS twitch channel. There was a code for a community tournament ticket but already expired.

unfortunately now there are not many codes, here the action was from twitch, they gave tickets, in principle, if you look in the evening, then almost every day a ticket was issued.

Obviously Pros do value their on-line poker that they may choose to leave their homeland, Take PTfisherman who won the WCOOP main event (high) and won over a million dollars last night. He is Portuguese and now lives in Holland.
But for us mere mortals who are asking for chests for a free-roll ticket this is not possible nor worth moving for.
So if you live in a Country that bans on-line gambling don't expect to get freebies because it will not happen.

Not My fault!

My country also has laws, but online gambling is not completely banned. So I was able to take part in the chest hunt as well. True, I didn’t have big prizes, but it was a good game.
