Regarding indefinite self-exclusion.

About two years ago, I had a moment of crisis and indefinitely excluded myself from all the poker sites where I played. I assumed the policy was the same across the board—that indefinite self-exclusion required a minimum one-year break. Now, after about two years, I decided to reopen my accounts; PartyPoker and PokerStars reopened without issue, but I haven't been able to reopen my accounts on WPT Global, GGPoker, or 888. I couldn't find official representatives for GG or WPT here; could someone explain how the process works?

You should probably contact the poker site's support team. They would have the most up to date information.

I've already tried that; it didn't work. So, I think the forum is the right place in this case.
Thanks for the help, but I’m looking for someone here who knows the ins and outs of this—specifically, whether there’s any legislation regarding it or a representative for the rooms. They tend to be more helpful when things are aired publicly on the forum. I know how people work: the rep handling the case realizes the process will be a hassle and tries to avoid it...

Sites support is indeed the place you should look out for as only them can give you back your playing privileges. If "it didnt work" then this means u cant play there anymore as they dont want a problem gambler back. Thats their decision, they can decide if they want to do business with u or not.

It does not really matter what someone else will say as long as this person does not work for the site himself. Reps mostly hand over cases to the relevant department in my experience. Highly doubt ur case is that much of a hassle so they try to avoid it.

Since you already got two accounts reopened, maybe just be content with playing there for now? In my experience its better to get familiar with the games and player pool tendencies on 1-2 sites instead of jumping around from site to site. I recently tried to add two more sites (888 and GG Poker) to my repertoire, but it has not really added any extra value, and I am strongly considering to reverse that decision and go back to focus on only ACR and PS. So maybe the sites made a good choise for you by two of them responding to your request and three not responding

That’s true, @funddiver199. I had already noticed a while back that player patterns vary a lot from room to room; the different structures and the variety of rooms meant I couldn't get as much out of the experience. Many people get used to one specific room and struggle to play in another.
The way this is presenting itself to me, it is certainly the best.Thanks!

On pokerstars you have to wait one year I think before asking again to reopen your account . That happened to me on pokerstars and bwin. I don't know about GG or wpt or 888poker . Maybe they have different rules.

Yeah, I managed to get back onto PokerStars and Party Poker after a year. But with those three sites you mentioned, it wasn't possible. I think a year is enough time to get your head straight! That’s quite a punishment in itself! 🙂
And in my case, it was really just mental burnout; I never had issues with money or betting—my problem is with the cards themselves! 🤣
