Bovada Poker Card Catcher HUD Support Thread

Did you mean hand catcher? Theme's and anything else running shouldn't effect the card catcher. I assume that's what you're talking about and not the hand converter.

- Time bank and last hand button fixes

This is a completely re-worked approach to the time bank and last hand on table fixes. We've tested it w/ several people on lots of setups, DPI settings and resolutions. Not one issue. So if you do have any problem, please let me know asap.

Note: The auto time bank is still the same. Assuming this approach is good across the myriad of setups, we'll implement it for auto time bank too and we'll be golden

I mean , these two software could not work together.
there relation ship is either not both.
any chance to make them both work on cash tables?

Yeah, if it won't work, we're not going to re-design our algorithm to support X software. It took 1.5 years to develop. 🙂

Also, you should update your version. You have a really old version of the catcher. You an get the latest versions from our forums.

- added "Enable Logging" option to settings
- fixed last hand issues in S&G and MTT
- added native mode for overlapped windows (last hand/time bank issues in coherence mode)
- added option to settings for switching between native and coherence mode
- fixed issue when player shows only one card (now there is no [Error Error] in hh)

- Fix auto time bank crash when closing out tables.

This should address anyone who had an issue w/ auto time bank. We changed the threading entirely so there's no chance of conflict anywhere. I've ran it and haven't gotten anything, but it never crashed for me or my guys before either though. But I'm hoping this should be it.

New Beta Update: v2.05.5

- Change to new hand format to address PS changes
- Fix for sometimes missing first hand of cash session
- Blank flop issue fix for S&G's *
- Advanced logging fix

A couple of important notes.
1) There's no video tutorial setup for this. It should automatically switch you over, but please read the prompts it gives you. It's important.
2) * The blank flop issue seems fixed w/ a new change we did in a couple of days ago. We haven't been able to re-produce it since then.
3) It should be picking up hands right away now. If it's not for any reason, let me know.
4) You need to change your current player in your database to iPoker HERO after you do your first session to see your stats.

We did a ton of testing on this the last week+ and I'm very happy with this update.
 
Hello, I have a few questions about the Bovada Card Catcher.

1) Does having the BCC make the Bovada Hand Converter useless? Or would you still need the hand converter to convert old hands prior to using the BCC?

2) Is the BCC able to capture hands from tables you are not sitting at currently? So could someone use the BCC and simply watch an ongoing table? I believe this would be against the TOC at Bovada since they do not want you tracking players you have not played against. But what about when playing in a tournament? What if I wanted to open a few other tables of the tourney and keep tabs on some of the other players? Technically since we are all in the same tourney we are playing against each other, even if not at the same table. Will the BCC work for these other tables?

1) No. But if you are running both you'll need to do them in separate databases. The hand converter can convert zone hands, which the catcher can't do, and also the converter will allow you to see all known hole cards (w/ correct database versions), which the catcher obviously can't do.

Yes, it will track observed tables. There's no way to track players after they leave, so it's not against Bovada TOS. They just don't want you tracking players and data mining across multiple sessions, which you can't do.

The card catcher will track data throughout a tournament. It's the one area where Bovada assigns a player ID (that is rest each tourney). So if you play against someone, get moved, and later meet them again, you'll get your previous data back. As far as tracking on observed tables in MTT's and collecting data, I've never tried or had someone try. Technically you should be able to.

1. Fixed issue when PT4 recognized all S&G tournaments as tournament #1, that caused an issue where you can see old data in HUD.
2. Fixed issue when BCC recreated HH file without data with previous hands during HM2 import, so start table time was incorrect and this issue could mess up hands in HM2
3. Extended trial to 7 days

I've been testing this version the last couple of days, as has others. No errors anywhere. No dropped hands. Looks solid.

The Bovada update has indeed broken the card catcher and any HUD use on Bovada/bodog right now. We're working on it. The fix will come up as an auto update. We will also have it posted on our forums and all the major poker forums when it's ready. Bovada/bodog completely changed their software streams, so we had to do a complete re-write of the crard catcher basically. We're hoping to have an update out today.

It was never officially support w/ PT3. I know some people got it working, but we never officially supported it. So I don't know honestly.
 
When I tried it, the program seemed to look only for PT4 or HM2 databases. Seeing as all (including PT3) are postgreSQL I was wondering if I could make it "see" the PT3 database. Anyone try it or know the workaround?
 
It doesn't have anything to do w/ the database. It has to do w/ the HUD and why it won't load.

Working on fixes for Bodog China since the data is slightly different coming out of there. There never was a difference from bodog europe and china before this update, so we're still looking into why that is.

Just make sure of a couple of things:
1) You start the card catcher before you load a table up.
2) You have checked to make sure the card catcher hand history directory is in your auto import folder for ipoker (it should update this automatically, but good to check). You can click on the video tutorial the top right of the card catcher if you're unsure how to do this.
3) You create an alias in your database and add HERO for ipoker.
4) Make sure Enable PS mode in the settings on the card catcher are unchecked.
