I'd love to have a GTO Wizard subscription but can't justify the expense as a recreational/hobbyist player, however after some modest wins over the last couple of months I want to treat myself to a solver and hopefully improve my game.

Question I have is will I regret buying the much cheaper GTO+ compared to PioSolver? I'm particularly interested in node locking and exploring exploits Vs particular player traits. Can GTO+ do everything that Pio can do in terms of node locking? I'm not too worried about speed or ease of use (I'm happy to write my own automation tools/scripts for bulk data entry etc. if required).

Pio is often quoted as the 'pro' choice, why is that?

I'd appreciate any insights people have.

Pio is for people who want to do their own node locking. However, it is best used vs highly skilled players to find thin edges. Vs really weak players the node lock feature does not get a large return on investment.

Playing in the games you play in right now GTO wizard with ICM and AI solve is the better route for you of the two.

A third option is to spend the money on a course and really lockdown solid strategies vs standard Villains. There are a lot of sites offering courses that you can own so that you can keep using it as a reference.:geek:

Have you checked tutorials?
I do own GTO+ myself but I do very little solver work.

GTO Wizard is not on my short list, as I said I can't really justify a continuous subscription. I'm considering GTO+ Vs PioSolver.

I went the GTO+ route and node locking's been perfectly fine. Pio's more polished, which is why it's the standard, but if you're already comfortable scripting, that gap probably matters less than the price difference.
