it's insane! He almost never misses and always tells me what I did wrong and what can i do to improve just by sending a print (I can teach how to configure the gem for it to work if needed)

Problem: What if my oponents are also doing that, but instead of learning from past hands, they are just printing the hands, sending to AI and doing the "best possible choice"

isn't that hacking? and it's 100% untrackable, how do we defend against this? Is this type of hacking common?

Wow you are smart!

Posting this on a poker platform, makes it absolutely not trackable.

There is too little room for making it live, AIs have their own code of conduct and won't do that live.

You guys didn't understand the problem, how we know people aren't doing it 100% live, I am not, but I am 100% sure that it is possible to make an AI bot that have the context and is able to answer every hand before the timer, how online poker platforms are defending themselves against this

Have you heard of RTAs? The problems are already here.
But inputting all relevant info to a AI tool (like Gemini) during the short time you have during a hand just doesn't seem plausible.

Guess what? They use AI to counter AI, there are behaviour validation tools running, massive data evaluated and sudden changes in winning rates, grinding rates are detected and alerted. At the end of the the day they are casinos and want to profit the most out of us, so...may want all to be a little bit less predictable in terms of return, let's say, human-like results are allowed, only.

Yes, using AI in real time is cheating and violates the terms of service of all major poker rooms (PokerStars, GGPoker, etc.).
No, it is not impossible to detect—even if the software itself cannot be detected directly, player behavior still leaves a footprint.
If someone plays like a perfect machine, the edge must come from how the ecosystem responds to that, not from copying the machine.
It exists, but it is not widespread (the risk of bans and fund confiscation is high, and it is difficult to do well without making mistakes).

There's no need to make a rude comment to a new poster just asking a question.

Can you give a little more details about what it is you mean? I get that you're talking about Google's AI Gemini, and using the Pro (paid) version - but how exactly does that work? Are you plugging hands into it after the fact, like a hand review, or is it monitoring your play as you are actively playing (not sure that's possible, but thought I'd ask anyway).

Yes!

Basically after the match is done, i put prints of my hands into the gemini GEM (As a full time software engineer i can explain)

-> You give all the context to the gem (charts, playstyle prefference (lag tag etc), ranges, positional, rules like titan avoidance or fold-flow respect), and then by seeing the print the can analize the hand and output something like this:
"I DO NOT HACK NEITHER USE IT WHILE IN MATCH, AND JUST LIKE tammy SAID I AM JUST A NEWCOMER ASKING QUESTIONS ON HOW BIG POKER PLATFORMS WILL DEFEND AGAINST THIS THE MORE IT GETS WELL KNOW!"

Printed the screen and send to the Gemini pro poker mtt coach gem (On the print, he can see that I was small blind, everyone folded to button, buttons jams for 16BB and i called and won with 88 so after match was done i sent print to ask if I went bingo poker mode or if I played like a pro), and the AI responds:
"""HE MOMENT OF TRUTH.

You pulled the trigger. 100% CORRECT.

Let's look at the "Crime Scene" in image_bedb42.jpg:

  • Your Stack: ~17 BBs.
  • The Villain: (REDACTED PLAYER NAME MANUALLY BY ME) (Button/Late Position) Shoved All-In.
  • Your Hand: Pocket Eights (8♢8♣).

Why this is a MANDATORY CALL (The Math)

You are already "In The Money" (Rank 24/33). You are not trying to survive for pennies anymore; you are trying to build a stack to win $90.

  1. His Range is Wide: A player like alexwolf on the Button will shove Any Ace, Any Pair (22+), Any Broadway (KQ, KJ), and suited connectors. He is trying to steal the blinds.
  2. Your Equity:
    • Vs. Lower Pairs (22-77): You are an 80% Favorite. (Crushing him).
    • Vs. Overcards (AK, AQ, K-J): You are 55% Favorite. (Ahead).
    • Vs. One Overcard (A-5, K-8): You are 70% Favorite.
    • Only Danger: You are only crushed if he happens to wake up with 99+. That is rare.
The Verdict: You cannot fold 88 here with 17 BBs. If you fold this, you will slowly bleed to death. You made the Championship Play.

The Possible Outcomes

  • He has Overcards (AQ/KJ): It's a Race. You need the board to stay low.
  • He has a Lower Pair (66/55): You need to avoid his 2-outer.
  • He has a Monster (QQ+): It's a "Cooler." You tip your cap and say "Good hand."
Coach's Final Prayer: "Hold, baby. No Ace. No King. No Queen. Just a nice, boring low board."

TELL ME: DID THE EIGHTS HOLD? (Or did you hit a set?)"""

So like, the way I use it's not hacking, and it helps me improve a lot on my 0.25 torneys, but he does respond fast enough that a "fake streamer reg pro" could use it while in the match, to make gto like assumptions + having the "player edge", he can see the %'s on gg poker so he can read if player is a nit tag reg pro or maniac fish

Cool right? If anyone wants to build a similar gem to study get in touch i CAN teach

BUT THE DOUBT IS: How we will be sure everyone isn't doing this WHILE INGAME in the near future? I really think, as a Software Engineer that AI will RUIN online poker more than GTO already tried to

Using Gemini Pro the right way can really sharpen your game. It’s great for breaking down spots, checking lines you’re unsure about, and understanding why something is +EV instead of just memorizing charts.

This is really interesting; I believe we will increasingly need to use AI to assist us in our lives.

There is no defense against it at a certain level.

Memorize poker ranges in the respective position and play online and live. Live doesn't have any additional programs besides your own brain!

I'm going to start using AI to help me play as well, let's see if I get better results. Which one would be the best for poker?

damn, AI is insane.
i only using gemini pro for work 😳
i will try to poker later 😍

Using AI to decide moves isn't technical hacking, but it is a form of cheating because it breaks the rules of fair play. It's very difficult to detect, as it leaves no clear traces, making it virtually impossible to track. This type of practice has already been seen in games like online chess or poker, where some players consult engines or AI in real time. In short: it's not hacking, but it is cheating, difficult to control, and increasingly common in competitive environments.

https://chatgpt.com/I've been using this lately for free - I upload the trade afterwards and get an analysis of what I should have done. It might not be the most accurate, but I think it's good for learning on my own, though it doesn't compare to posting here.

haha ChatGPT, Gemini and LLMs suck at poker. Set a precise poker situation, ask for their advice, and compare to GTO, you'll see it makes no sense.
