Ajax bought Sebastian Haller for 22 million!

Ajax bought Haller for over 22 million euros but they forgot to sign him up for the Europa League. It's a big mistake by Ajax. I believe they could have won the Europa League with him. What do you guys think?
 
I don't understand why Ajax needs this player. he is not a scorer, that is, a super hitting striker.
at the expense of the Europa League, I doubt Ajax will win, there are many stronger teams. let them reach at least 1/8 for the beginning, I don't see them in the semifinals.

Surprisingly enough for a club like AJAX to pay a fairly large amount for a player. In general, they are used to growing and selling players with such amounts of money.

True ! Before sometimes buying them back on the cheap (Klaasen,Blind,...)
