My concern was that even if he did give his 100% he still didn't have a particularly clear path to victory against Mousassi - how round one went was pretty much how I pictured the whole fight going.

UFC president Dana White announced via Twitter Friday morning that Hendricks-Woodley was off due to "Hendricks weight cut issues."

This stinks. This is still a good card but this fight could have been great.

Hendricks just needs to manage his weight better I think.

I'm not so sure he's got the frame to be able to compete at middleweight either. He's 5"9 with a 69 inch reach. Look at the top guys in the middleweight division: Weidman (6"2, 78in), Rockhold (6"3, 77in), Souza (6"1, 72in), Romero (5"10, 75in), Machida (6"1, 74in). All of them would dwarf Hendricks physically.

Which isn't to say it'd be impossible for him to win fights in that division (he gives up height and/or reach to a fair few welterweights too) but he'd be starting at a significant disadvantage against pretty much all of them.

What a title fight! DC doesn't stand a chance against Jones though (not that Gustafsson would have either).

Thought Evans looked old and washed up and the rest of the card was just kind of meh.

Great fight. It was very close. I had it 48-47 for Gustafsson... but could have gone either way, maybe a draw would have been the best decision since none of them should have lost that fight.

I thought DC clearly won. Gustafsson did have his moments and did allot better than I thought.

Agree, but DC landed the bigger/heavier punches that I'm sure gave him the edge on the split. One of his arms probably weighs as much as one of my legs lol. When you get hit by one of those punches, it's like getting in a car wreck
