Yeah, Silva hasn't even been training apparently, and he's only a month removed from having gall bladder surgery, which is no joke.

I feel pretty square about it but I've taken a bet on Cormier at $1.25.

They'd been doing it all weekend across the three fight cards: there's suggestion instructions had been given to stand up / separate fighters quicker than usual to ensure more action.

Thought 200 was a solid card up to and including the Aldo fight, went downhill fast from there.

DC was clearly fighting not to lose, and didn't seem to want to actually hurt Silva either. Understand completely, and still have massive respect for his skills, but it was terrible to watch.

I don't need to see Brock Lesnar fight ever again. That fight was even worse than DC-Silva. Hell, it was worse than Roy Nelson v Derrick Lewis. Disappointed Mark Hunt couldn't get the KO because that would have been hilarious.

Aldo was amazing, and couldn't be happier for Nunes. Thought Pena looked like a straight up beast, would be fine with seeing her fight Nunes for the title.

Like Brock, I never need to see Skeletor Hendricks fight again, gawd he looked terrible. Impressed with the heart Sage Northcutt displayed, he's clearly a work in progress but he seems to be making the right steps to improve his ground game.

Yeah this makes no sense. He's ranked 13th on UFC.com. How does a fighter outside the top ten get a title shot??

I honestly don't think it's essential that Rogan stays. Yes he is a great commentator and I'd certainly love him to stay but the UFC have done a great job at creating good commentators/analysts from current and former fighters. (DC, Cruz, Bisping and particularly Brian Stann to name a few). If he does decide to move on I think there will be a little outcry from the fans but firmly believe by 202 we'll have all moved on.

His contract runs through 202 but I do agree that Stann could step in and fill Rogan's role with little loss (although then the Fox broadcast may suffer a bit depending who they filled Stann's current role with).

I really don't mind if Rogan stays or goes - I assume he'll go sooner rather than later because that's what he said he'd do if the company was sold.

But that's hardly the important issue here. The important issue, of course, is can we please get rid of Mike Goldberg already

As for Dan Henderson getting a title shot, like I said earlier it makes zero sense from a conventional matchmaking perspective. But I think it's fine pretty much any other way you look at it.

First of all, who else are you gonna have fight Bisping? Half the division is either out injured or coming off a loss, or isn't ready for a title shot yet. Middleweight is a mess. You could put Anderson Silva in against him I guess, but if you're concerned about merit and comparing records then Hendo's is actually better than Silva's right now.

I suspect they probably want to make Bisping (and, by extension, Rockhold, the guy who is still very much the future of the division) look good. If they have someone like Jacare come in and squash Bisping then it makes the belt and the guys who've held it since Weidman look like kind of a joke. If Bisping defends the belt at least once, it looks a bit more legit.

In fact, if you're being cynical about it, they probably want to feed Bisping a squash match so they can leverage the marketing benefits of finally having a British champion for a bit longer.

And lastly there's the question of name value and PPV buys - Henderson at least has name recognition and a following, much more so than someone like Jacare (or, say, Robert Whitaker). Plus Hendo and Bisping have history, which makes the fight more marketable.

So yeah, there are zero competitive reasons to make this fight, but there are a heap of smart business reasons to make it.
