A City win they can go top 3 days later by beating Burnley(game brought forward 3 days because of FA cup semis) put big pressure on Arsenal who face Newcastle on semis weekend.

So lets review where Arsenal are now and keep it real.

If you had offered them this position at the start of the season, they would have bitten your hand off (both of them) BUT none of this matters unless they win something, second sucks as they know this more than anyone.
Do they deserve to win the title (yes in my opinion) as they have been the stand out team until about 8 games back and then the wheels started to loosen.
Dont forget also - they have a +3 GD at present and whilst that is not much - City look like they will score more goals in the last 7 games so its not completely over even if Arsenal lost 1-0.
Champions league - Arsenal are a strange beast - they are for me, when they hit form, the hardest team to play against but the back 4 are concerning me a little. I think however out of PSG/BAYERN and Athletico - they got the best draw but it will be tough.

So - the pirate is going to make a prediction.

Arsenal to win PL only.

City beat Burnley 1-0 on Wednesday they go top on goal scored by 3 goals (goal different will be the same) and a neck and neck race to the end of the season, City win by 3 or 4 they put pressure on Arsenal who are not winning well at this time.

Well - its all up for grabs now and i am 100% certain there will be at least 1 more shock result from either City or Arsenal with 5 games to go.
Arsenal played brave - they certainly on another day could have won that game 3-2 but the post saved city on 2 occasions.
Gabriel should have seen red but Anthony Taylor did not want to spoil the game i reckon and in any other game, that deliberate forward headbutt movement of Gabriel sees Red - hes a lucky, lucky boy.
Arsenal are seriously wobbling now and they need to regroup and HAVE to win every one of their last 5 games. If City beat Burnley well and go top - its looking ominous.
I still dont think its over.....

I can't remember seeing so many stunning blunders by top notch goalkeepers (Neuer for Bayern vs Real Madrid in the Champions League and Donnarumma for MC vs Arsenal)

Arsenal have blown it. There is some kind of mental block for them.

Losing to Bournemouth was the real killer. That put so much pressure on them to not lose against City and they couldn't handle it.

I don't see City slipping up during there run in, whereas I can totally see Arsenal dropping points again.

City are very close to Arsenal, everyone knows that.
If Manchester City beat Burnley today, they will be enough for the Gunners.
In this regard, memories of the 2014-2015 season come to mind.
It was Gerard's last year as a player at Liverpool. They were leading the table for a long time.
In the end, they ruined a lot of games. We know the final result.

If City win the FA cup 8th spot in the league will be good for Europe and with Chelsea dropping like a stone Everton, Brentford and Bournemouth 3 of City games left to play have a great chance to qualify.
The Europa League Final is 4 days before the last game of the season if Villa make the final what mood will they be in when they come back, we blow it seasons over/a party mood we do not care we won or a we won it lets show them we are contenders next year mood.

So not quiet over yet, but drop points to Newcastle and Fulham and it is.

The reality is this..
Before City play Everton away on May 4th - Arsenal could be 6 points clear having played 2 games more.
City could by that point have locked up another FA cup final appearance and Arsenal would have played their 1st leg away in CL v Atletico with home leg on May 5th.
City have a tougher run in - marginally but lets not forget Arsenal have Burnley at home coming up and i doubt theres only going to be 1 goal in that.
I still have Arsenal as fractional favourites but City have momentum and City look more likely to stick 3+ goals past most teams.
Against burnley they looked leggy after all that effort v Arsenal.

with 5 games left - neither team can afford a draw let alone a loss..points on the board, scoreboard pressure can do strange things to a team and the fans, once the fans are on your back - its ten time tougher.

I know this - if Arsenal dont win the league, its going to massively affect them and if they end up with no silverware, if it was me, i would sack Arteta. I know he has his legion of followers but i would...
