Do you think Boston Celtics will win the NBA championship this year?

They will not make ECF.
Raptors and Cavs clearly better than them.
You can make the argument that Bucks and Wizards are better as well.

I hope they play Cavs in ECF. But, to think they can beat GS or HOU in a 7 game series is pretty ludicrous imo

The NBA is much more competitive this season I think and there are 4 favorite teams to be the winner: Golden State Warriors,LA Lakers,Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls.

I would say a lot depends on if they get a healthy Hayward back. If he comes back healthy and is available for a ECF showdown with the Cavs and then for the Finals, all bets are off. Boston is one of the few teams who can gives the Warriors fits defensively, and that would be a legit interesting matchup.

I still don't think anyone is going to challenge the Warriors this year, but maybe next year if Boston keeps improving and adds another legit lotto pick with the Lakers pick.

I'm a Celtics fan, but it's unlikely they make any real challenge to GS, Houston, or anyone else from the West. If they package their nearly infinite 1st rd picks the next few yrs, maybe they can add a real difference maker.

not looking like they'll get the LAL pick. it only goes to BOS if it's 2-5. right now it's 11th. even if the Lakers won the draft the pick is 1st protected so i'd go back to PHI.

Boston is only going as far as their young wings Brown and Tatum will take them. If they struggle, the whole team struggles.

With Cavs' roster overhaul, they have to be seen as the favorites once again to come out of the East.

I think they can win next year when all the guys are back. Hayward, Irving. This has been a good year for the youth they have. Brad Stevens also has Championship capability. I am pretty sure he might win coach of the year if all goes well in this Conference Finals. Tonight wasn't good but I knew LeBron wouldn't go down 3-0 at home. Just not happening. He has a history of coming back from 1-2, so it is gonna be a long series I believe. It will be interesting to see how the Celts do in the next game to bounce back.

They are years away at best. They need to trade irving in my opinion. They do have something good brewing though, with possibly the best coach, and all that young talent. I would be happy if I were a Boston fan.
