Mexico, all the major players relaxed in a match with New Zealand, they are preparing to play with us to win. I think it will be very difficult for our guys, but we all will believe.

My favorite team is Portugal, they will win

I think Germany is favorite they stood really strong against Chile which is a really good team right now with only a B team (although with the quality of the german players it is like another A team honestly)

Portugal has not shown really good matches.

So either Germany or Chile is a safe pick

As a Mexican I am almost always disappointing at my football squad, we do not have a structure plan for all the generations so the young talent don't get that much help on evolving, we just go through managers like crazy hoping for a miracle, instead of working from the grounds, shame honestly

We played really well on the last world cup and so much that I would say if we won against Neatherlands we could up ended up in finals for sure.

Anyways Mexico tends to play good against strong teams but when playing against "weaker" teams we always struggle, so no consistency for the team

Plus the manager was quite dumb to change the lineup so much against New Zealand, yes they are the weakest, but you still have to consider:
-Looks like there is no A team decided yet for Mexico
-You are making like 8 starting changes (too much variance)
-You do not have two A teams on the roster unlike other nations (Germany, Brazil, etc are examples)

Should have just fined tuned the roster from the match against Portugal, removing 2 that did not play well, and see some new faces for changes instead of G. Dos Santos who is not playing well

That way you win against NZ, boost confidence and momentum, and now who are your A team members and who are the ones you want to swap in at anytime

I didn’t even know New Zealand were competing. That’s how much I follow the round ball game, unless it’s a FIFA World Cup that New Zealand are playing in. We have only made it to the World Cup twice (1982 & 2010) and never won a game.

As for the Confederations Cup, I’ve never heard of it, but I’ll be cheering for the only undefeated team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. To go through that event undefeated they must be good. LOL.

Man, you guys should have won after how bad our team was playing, Wood had like 5 1v1 against our goalie,

Miracle that we ended up winning, does not taste like a victory though,

I really think NZ played the best that they could!, shame for the almost fight though, should have better sportsmanship on both sides!

The thing is as I pointed in the previous comments the "best" were not in the starting roster, and Mexico always has the problem of playing good vs strong teams and bad vs weaker teams U_U

In paper I think Mexico should have advantage vs Russia, but hey we tend to play bad in the best spots so no surprise if we lose.

Hopefully this manager will have learned his lesson.

If Mexico relaxes or gets overconfidence we will be in a bad spot considering Russia has to win to advance,

If we can be smart, we may try to take ball possession and force Russian errors trying to recover balls, also counterattacks as Russia has to go forward looking for a win

Anyways good luck to both squads! here is hoping for a clean match
(really hate the whole drama of "I am dying with a little kick, he hit me in the arm but I'll grab my face, etc) why can't they just play fair I mean every player for every team/country

I think chile win bicause play whit first team

sensations on this tournament didn't happen, came through to the semifinal to whom it is necessary. but now it is difficult to predict the winner. let will win against the strongest. I wouldn't want that Germany because there arrived not the full-strength makeup of team won.

Portugal vs Chile
Germany vs Mexico

Portugal vs Chile will be interesting. I think it will be close game but Portugal should edge it through experience.

Germany should beat Mexico unless they field a too under-strength team and Mexico upset the odds.

My tip at the minute is Portugal to win the final as they seem to be taking the competition most seriously and somehow won their last final against all odds.

My finalists are Germany and Portugal. Chileans have good attack potential, but their defensive redoubts are too weak to resist Portugal. Germany is objectively stronger than Mexico. But Bundestim should approach for the game with the right attitude, otherwise Mexico can punish them.
