I'm Irish and therefore naturally like to see McGregor doing well. Saying that, he has absolutely no chance whatsoever in a boxing match with Floyd.

It would be so one-sided it would be embarrassing.

You know what... I think Mayweather will be shocked how big McGregor is and I really think and believe Floyd can win only by decision.

Floyd will win by Dec for sure.. mcnugget cant beat the best thats ever stepped in the ring with suck little practice... in kickboxing or mma rules... different story... but as much as everyone hates floyd... boxing isnt about KOs its about hitting and not being hit, hes truly the best at that to grace the ring... ill certainly say ill be watching for sure. Even with mcnuggets sizs advantage i can't see him koing floyd.. cant hit what u cant see. His ring generalship and defensive boxing will give him a dec win. Or if connor gets tired and gasses very late... theres always a good chance of floyd stopping connor. Just as vasyl lomachenko made nicholas walters quit like a chump

Sure, but that's hardly a shock - Mayweather has had 10 decision wins and only two KOs in the past 10 years... knocking McGregor out was never all that likely to begin with.

It's like when he fought Pacquiao. For that fight, one of my sports books was offering Floyd at even money, with all bets refunded if the fight ended in a KO. Easiest. Money. Ever

I think the fight is going to happen. Too much money involved. Conor's MMA reputation won't be damaged if he lose a boxing match to one of the best boxers of all time.

Mcgregor would have a lot of fun in this one, dunno if it's
too rude to say that this would be one of the easiest fights in his professional career. The main reason for saying this is that Mcgregor is a complete fighter and all that Mayweather could show us in this match is running away from his opponent what he has been doing in the last couple of years, aiming for point advanatage. There's no way he could possible run away from this dude.
I vote for this match and would love to see how Mayweather get a lesson for ruining boxing for so many years.

So... I hate Floyd Mayweather as much as the next sane person. He's just a vile, awful human being, the kind of guy you really would happily see get smacked in the face over and over.

That said, betting against him in a boxing match where he will almost certainly have set all the conditions (right down to the size of the ring and the gloves) probably isn't smart.

Saying that "all he could show us is running away aiming for a point advantage" is basically saying "all he could show us is how to easily win the fight".

McGregor's gas tank isn't exactly great. You saw how carefully he had to manage his energy to get through 25 minutes with Nate Diaz - how SLOW he had to fight. If Mayweather makes him chase in an even longer boxing match... that sounds like a recipe for a gassed out McGregor and an easy Mayweather win.

IF it happens it'll be a boxing match - I'm not sure a reputable commission would or even should sanction an MMA match between these two.

And given it'll be a Mayweather boxing match, I think the casual / "just bleed" MMA fans in the audience going to sleep will be the surest thing.

This fight will not happen because Floyd is not interested, and in case Floyd shows some interest in the fight, he will look for Macgregor to be less dangerous, as he did with Pacquiao, I wait 5 years to agree the fight since when Pacquiao had lowered his quality and capacity. Another thing is that Floyd will continue to run in the ring as in all their fights and always putting stupid conditions to face their rivals. Why floyd does not face triple G (Gennady Golovkin) ???

There's a world of difference between Pacquiao and McGregor though. The latter is no threat to him in a boxing match, not now and not ever.

The longer Floyd leaves it, the more of a chance McGregor has. He will be younger and more motivated. But in reality, Floyd's size and boxing experience should still not let McGregor anywhere near him.

No argument on the boxing experience but when it comes to size, McGregor is the slightly bigger fighter (5ft9 74 inch reach vs 5ft8 72 inch reach for Floyd)
