I hope Portugal can make it.

It’s a pity that WC is in North America this year, because previous WC was in Qatar, it has the same time zone as Ukraine…

But North America and USA in particular is interesting culturally to host the “soccer” WC

At least our most attractive match of the group phase versus Argentina is at 7 PM my time.
But the other two 4 and 6 am 😂

Will be hard vs Switzerland but I think you got a shot 👍🏼
Same as Austria.
Two rather easy opponents and one strong opponent. In our case Argentina.
Guess we have to call them very strong.

I once skipped first lesson in some random school day (on purpose) when our NT played El Salvador in the United States with game starting 7AM for us - guess it was worth it since we won on that day

Either way which nation(s) do perform great? Pretty sure Austria is not going to be one of them?!? Although i wouldnt mind to see them last longer than defending champions though ...

E: Havent focused too much on possible scenarios for knockout stages but i kinda would like to see USA and/or Iran either perfom good (or bad) enough so they would face eachother in first knockout phase ...

Spain, France, Argentina, Germany, England, Portugal
keeping an eye on Norway, Japan, Colombia and Morocco

I'm also really looking forward to the World Cup starting. There are several teams that could do well, but maybe Spain could be a contender for victory.

If we talk about real chances of reaching at least the quarterfinals of the 2026 World Cup, the teams that today appear best positioned by squad level, ranking, recent experience and analyst projections are:
Argentina 🇦🇷
Current champion.
It maintains a very solid and competitive base.
It continues to appear among the main favorites in models and bookmakers.
World 2026 forecasts

France 🇫🇷
One of the most profound templates in the world.
Finalist in 2022 and with figures in full football maturity.

Spain 🇪🇸
European champion and identified by several models as the main candidate for the title.

Brazil 🇧🇷
He always appears among the top candidates.
It has a new generation of offensive figures.

England 🏴
He has been reaching decisive levels for several tournaments.
It has one of the most valuable squads in the tournament.

Germany 🇩🇪
It reappears among the strongest selections according to recent analyses.

And like Argentina 🇦🇷 I say: Let's go Let's go Argentina
We Will Win!!!!!!!!! 🇦🇷❤️💪💪🙏

As this will most likely be the last important NT tournament for Messi and CR7- the 2 players that defined the last ~20 years of this sport, I'm going to be a fan of their national teams... plus, it's not like they aren't on the list of the favorites to win it all as Argentina is the defending champions, while Portugal just won the UEFA Nations League (they beat Denmark, Germany and Spain to do it)... also, both teams have some of the best players in the World in their squad- definitely 2 teams to watch at this WC2026 :)

Well that depends on how you define great. I don't think we will stand a chance against Argentina but the other two are easy wins.
Me personally I think it would be great to see them in the quarter final...anything beyond is highly improbable.

The teams who will l perform really great are Spain , Portugal, France and Germany
Im not very familiar with the skills of the African teams but I know Egypt must not be underestimated. They win the African Cup often

I love that Argentina is in my country's group. I don't expect anything really from our boys, a remis would be great already.
But really looking forward to see Messi playing against the Austrian defense. He got old maybe we stand a chance :D

Actually i wouldnt be surprised if from all african nations Egypt is the one who (heavily) underperfoms - they probably dont do as bad as Congo but all other african nations should easily have bigger impact on tournament than them ...

I'm Brazilian, but my team remains weak, lacking beautiful plays and suffering many defeats. I would bet on the national teams of Argentina, France, and Spain.

I would not underestimate Algeria. It won't be as easy as you think. In fact, the Austrians are having some problems in their friendly match with Tunisia.

Since everyone is predicting a Spanish or French victory, I really hope that a team will win who the bookmakers currently consider the underdog. I would be particularly pleased to see the winning of the Brazilian national team coached by Ancelotti.

"I'm really excited for it too! If I had to pick the strongest contenders right now, I'd say France, Argentina, Spain, and England all have the talent and depth to go very far. France always seems to produce world-class players, Argentina has a winning mentality, Spain's young generation is impressive, and England has one of the deepest squads in the tournament.
As for a dark horse, I'd keep an eye on Portugal. They have quality in every position and could surprise a lot of people. If I had to make an early prediction, I'd say France or Spain have a great chance of lifting the trophy—but in football, one great tournament run can change everything. Who are you hoping wins it?"
