Hi everyone, I’m curious to hear your thoughts and perspectives. Here in Brazil, football is such a big part of our culture, and we follow the local leagues and players very closely. But I always wonder how much people from other countries actually know about Brazilian football nowadays. Do you mostly follow our national team during World Cups, or do you also keep an eye on the domestic league (Brasileirão) and the big clubs like São Paulo, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Fluminense, etc.?

Brazilian football has been changing a lot in recent years, with some clubs becoming more professional in management and even competing financially with smaller European teams. At the same time, we’re still exporting a huge number of young talents to Europe every season. Players like Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, and Endrick have made headlines, but there are many others coming up through the ranks.

So I’d like to know: what is the image of Brazilian football where you live? Do you see it as mostly about flair and individual skill, or do you also hear about the tactics, the rivalries, and the intensity of our league? I’d love to read your impressions and see how Brazilian football is viewed from outside the country.

Personally, I must honestly admit that despite my interest in soccer, I know little about Brazilian football. Of course, I know the top Brazilian clubs and I also follow the national team's performances on a regular basis. However, I have the impression that the Brazilian national team is declining in quality year by year. I don't know what the level of the Brazilian league is compared to the top European leagues. At the last Club World Cup, Fluminense reached the semifinals, so perhaps the level of Brazilian club football isn't so bad. I don't know what the system for playing for the championship or relegation is in Brazil. Perhaps if the Brazilian league were shown on my local TV, my knowledge would be much greater. That's not the case.

Brazilian football—with its methods, knowledge, and characteristics—was only possible thanks to the guidance provided by Brazilian culture. The beautiful game of Brazil belongs to the Brazilian people and their identity. To understand Brazilian football and why they were admired around the world for the dreams they painted with their art with the ball at their feet, we first need to understand the Brazilian people.

I think Brazilian football is not as good as it used to be, but there is hope that it will be again.

I mostly follow the big clubs like Flamengo and Palmeiras, plus a few rising players who move to Europe. I know the state leagues are huge locally but harder to track abroad.

I’ve been keeping up with matches a lot quicker since I started checking scores on rubiscore.com because the updates hit before my TV does. I also like that I can follow just my teams, and the player ratings and xG stuff make it easier to understand how a match is going without watching every minute. It’s been a handy add‑on during busy days.

I am a Flamengo fan and I always follow their games, the Brazilian league is very euphoric, they are always playing with passion and raising the level in South America, a Brazilian team always wins the Libertadores or South America.
