Interesting results in football There are interesting correlations on certain days.
I am thinking here that teams in a given league score a lot of goals on a given day.
Or there is a series of goalless draws on certain days.
Another example is the high number of game reversals.
This is the topic of this column.

15 matches in the Japanese J2/J3 league started at seven o'clock this morning.
Seven of these matches had at least three goals by the end of the first half.
The rules have changed, and in the event of a draw, a penalty shootout will immediately follow.
So this is considered very rare and is given at very high odds.
Interestingly, in the end, only two teams managed to score six goals out of seven.

Barcelona were defeated by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Madrid lost to Sevilla before the return leg. Barcelona won easily 4-1 against Espanyol.

Arsenal won against Sporting in Portugal in the Champions League.
They suffered a big surprise defeat at home to Bournemouth 2:1 at the weekend.
Sporting won away against Estrela.

Inter played Como at the weekend and won 3:4.
Como led at half-time and Inter turned the game around.
They met again last night, this time in the Italian Cup.
Como led 1:0 again at half-time and Inter won the game 3:2.
These are interesting coincidences.

I don't know if you've noticed that the number of draws in handball usually increases before the Christmas holidays.
They take a break from Christmas to the New Year, so maybe they're thinking about resting.
This applies to almost all championships.
It's worth checking these out.

Interestingly, two matches in the American MLS ended in a 4:4 draw.
New York City - Cincinnati, and New York Red Bulls - DC United both ended in a 4:4 draw.
They started at the same time, and the half-time score of both matches was 2:1.
What is this, but a random coincidence?

Interesting thread (y) as a recreational gambler (I bet only on events I watch live video and mostly competitions where it's easy to find info/previews etc.* around 20-30 bets/month), I don't really pay much attention to this aspect- I focus on Single bets and making sure I analyze the event I plan to bet as much as possible, but I have a friend that used to say similar things about 'coincidences' in different leagues and even days... he talked about goals too, for specific leagues like Romania, where weather is very different depending on the season and for example there are a lot more Under 2.5 goals in the Winter compared to when is not that cold...

My friend also mentioned different H2H match-ups with 'weird' trends like this where a team is down at HT and wins in the end way too often for this to be 'normal'...

That's why gambling in sports can be dangerous for your bankroll (the mental part can be difficult to handle too) and IMO the best way to approach it, is as a hobby and have fun following different sports/competitions/events, while trying to make some extra money by taking advantage of the fact you know a lot of info about the teams/players/style of play etc... bet responsibly tho- only amounts you afford to lose, of course we should always want to get the 'green bets' and make a profit 💰, but we shouldn't forget that the bookmakers don't offer any 'free money'- so no matter how low/high the odds are- there are chances to lose and we should never risk too much on any bet...

I've went a bit off-topic there... I'll keep an eye on this thread and hopefully learn different things that will improve my chances to make a profit from Sports betting- the topic is definitely an interesting one- keep up the good work @csecsey (y)

Thanks for the encouragement BillyR23!
There is a logic to the game rotation. Especially on the home field and with bigger teams, when the schedule is tight.
Now there are 5 substitutions in football.
They will line up with a weaker squad against the smaller team. They think that will be good too.
When there is a problem, they send in the five star players in the 2nd half to win the game.

Now, the teams in MLS that produced outstanding goal numbers last week. They couldn't even score a goal.
New York City and New York Red Bulls played 4:4 a week ago, both at home.
Now they lost 1:0 away, making it 2:0.
But even Philadelphia, which was playing 3:3, was now outscored 2:0.
:cool:So a week ago these three teams scored a total of 11 goals, now nothing.

It has nothing to do with day, time or place, each game is a game!

Yesterday's interesting news from the French third division:

Aubagne - Stade Briochin They got going in the first half and the score was 1:2. They didn't do anything in the second half.
Also, the halftime score of the Fleury-Merogis - Le Puy match, which started at seven o'clock, was 3:0.
Here the miracle happened, because the home team scored another goal at the end.

In the Bundesliga, which starts today at 15:30, there were also 2 3:3 results.
Bayern Munich - Heidenheim and Hoffenheim - Stuttgart both ended 3:3.
Bayern also suffered a hat-trick against Maiz last weekend. But they won 4:3.
Then they lost 4:3 to PSG.

Today at noon the usual scenario was played out in the Portuguese second division.
In the Portimonense - Chaves match, the score was 2:2 in the 25th minute.
After that, nothing for a long, long time,
Then in the last minute of extra time, the home team won 3:2.
