Hungarian academy talent Erik Farkas could receive a long-term professional contract at Liverpool.
He offered the academician a five-year contract, which is rare in his age group.
They see huge potential in the 16-year-old midfielder and expect him to be able to join the senior team within a few seasons.

Tough days ahead for Liverpool.
They will play Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.
Salah might not even play.
Champions League in Paris on Wednesday.
On Saturday, they have a league match at home against Fulham. On Saturday, they host Paris.

What was expected happened. City crushed Liverpool four to nil.
Liverpool have a bigger match load. They are still playing in the Champions League.
City only have domestic cups left. The Premier League is Arsenal's. They clearly wanted the victory more.
The question is how much the Liverpool fans were crushed by the result before the match in Paris.

Liverpool will only have a bigger match load is they get past PSG.(both played in the 2nd round)
If City can beat Chelsea and when beat Arsenal 2-0 at home when the Premier will still be alive big time. (do think Arsenal will win it)

Reds were dominated almost all today´s match by PSG.At, least, the result could have been even worse. I hope the guys can make the comeback next week at Anfield.

Plenty of teams that seemed on paper to be the favorite lost in the 1st leg . And from the way the game play went they probably wont be turning it around !

That Paris victory was very smooth. They didn't even try.
With Liverpool playing like that, they also win away.
The time has passed when they were able to turn a two-goal deficit around.
It's already a memory when Barcelona won 3-0 and Liverpool won 4-0.

I don't think Liverpool need to worry about starting in the Champions League.
Five teams can already qualify from the Premier League.
If Arsenal win the Champions League, that number will increase to six teams.
If Aston Villa win the Europa League, six teams can still qualify for the Champions League.

UEFA rebalancing methods;
The titleholder is only an extra club for a country when that club did not qualify by domestic league or cup for any of the 3 European competitions.

Arsenal has already qualified so winning CL will not get an extra place,
Villa will need to drop out of the top 5 and win EL, they need 2 wins from 5 games to qualify via league.
If Forest win EL we will get a six teams but it will be Forest.

So Liverpool do need to watch out, (but I think they will made it)

Champions league qualification is minimal reward in very bad season. Players have been allowed to relax too much after success in previous seasons. Club lacks mentality to dominate!

Just check the rules if Villa win the Europa League and finish in the top 4 we do not get an extra place UEFA rebalancing, but if they finish 5th and win the Europa League we do. The extra 5th place was given via the European Performance Spot (EPS) would drop to the 6th place team.

Mohamed Salah has described his impending departure from Liverpool as the “right thing to do” following a turbulent final season at Anfield.

The Egyptian forward is expected to leave the club at the end of the 2025/2026 campaign, having announced his exit last month.

Mo Salah, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, has been one of the club’s most influential players in the modern era.

However, reports of a breakdown in relations following a contract dispute last season, as well as tensions with head coach Arne Slot this term, are said to have contributed to his decision to move on.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard on TNT Sports, Salah referenced the difficult circumstances behind his departure, suggesting the season’s instability played a key role in his choice.

“I feel to go through the season this is the right thing to do now, and I have peace with it. I feel to go through the season this is the right thing to do now, and I have peace with it.”
