Kenyan Sebastian Sawe completed the 26.2 miles (42.195 km - BR) race in 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 30 seconds. An impressive feat.

JUST IMPRESSIVE. The marathon, which took place in the capital last Sunday, saw Kenyan runner Sabastian Sawe become the first athlete to break the two-hour barrier in an official competition to win in a world record one hour, 59 minutes and 30 seconds.

What is equally incredible is that the 2nd place finisher ( 11 seconds behind i think ) also broke 2 hours cleanly in his first ever marathon !

Yes, that's true. We can't forget that detail. It's incredible that the 2nd place finisher accomplished that feat in his first marathon.

They run about as fast as most of us can ride a bike for two hours !
