There are quite a few legends of the sport that media and/or some "keyboard warriors" think shouldn't be at the WC26 and that their NT team would be better without them... I've read so much online about Messi and especially CR7... and Neymar is IMO the closest to this 2 players and IIRC he's Brazil's all time top goalscorer (which is pretty insane considering Pele was Brazilian and so many other top players like Ronaldo* IMO the best nb9 player of all time...), I think he also has the national record for the assists too... this players deserve/earned the right to retire from football and National Team on their own accord!

Neymar had all the requirements to become one of the greatest players in the world. However, despite his creative playmaking and skill with the ball, he was also undisciplined, irresponsible, disorganized, and a "diver" (a term used for a player who feigns injury). Due to his indiscipline, he was constantly injured and only thought about making a fortune, whereas we know that most players seek fame and professional respect. Personally, I wouldn't call him up.

It’s hard to explain the call-up considering Neymar current form at Santos and other players who could’ve been selected instead (but are less media driven, like João Pedro from Chelsea). It seems they bet on his “connection with the fans” and occasional "flashes of brilliance". Hopefully it works out.

Although he didn't play that well for my team (Santos FC), he's still an idol of the club...since the 2010 World Cup, Santos FC hasn't had a player in the Brazilian national team for the World Cup.

These players now , like Neymar, I think they are too old to keep on playing in such major precious events like fifa world cup .it's time they retired already . It's sad to see sb a shade of his old himself , in bad shape , with extra fat , great only in memory and history. Messi I think is also going to participate in this Fifa mundial .well see

A huge mistake by the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), because ultimately, the CBF is in charge of Ancelotti.

There are so many better players in Brazil, a thousand times better than that glass-legged Neymar.

Neymar Jr. is just going there for a stroll and to make a lot of money without doing anything, because he hasn't shown any real football skills in a long time, actually since he was born.

Brazil won't be eliminated in the first round only because they got a very weak group, but they won't go very far, they're likely to be eliminated in the round of 16, a team of mercenaries.

Yes, my friend, he's made of glass. If he's only going to play 30 minutes, I would have preferred Joao Pedro; he was undoubtedly one of Chelsea's best players this season.

He is very young , 34 , yet he is in very bad shape . I read that many disagreed with the usefulness of Neymar in the mundial , but far more want him , he is the star of the national Brazilian team , most great ex players wanted him in this mundial . His performance cannot be related or compared to Messi or Ronaldo when they were in the same age as Neymar
