I agree in the playoffs you want a #1 but to get there you need 2 ,I havnt looked but how many wins do you need to make playoofs, my guess is 40 plus ,so you need 30 wins from 1 and at least 10 from the other,I would think the number of starts for a number 1 would be around 45 to 50,and out of the 19 that started 50 how many were 500 not a lot of true number 1s out there if you ask me,Ingram doesnt seem so bad
Ingram is good backup who can win you games....don't how much stock I'd put in our playoffs this year considering 2 back to back Final runs and our best players also playing the Olympics. With EVERYONE basically exhausted to the point of making injuries being a lot easier. I think an Oilers team without so many games played and TOI this season we'd easily handle the Ducks and get to a Western Conference Finals but who knows. Just avg goaltending in the playoffs a rested and avg injury NHL Oiler team goes to the Finals again this season. The Oilers have NEVER gotten avg NHL goaltending come playoff time or goalies numbers are always the worst or near the bottom of playoff goalies. This year I feel the team overall as a unit dragged the goalie numbers down.
I honestly don't know the answer to most your goalie questions.....Ironically Stu Skinner was the last goalie to play 50 games this season

. So no not all them had winning records or even .500 avg in games won. If I had to guess I'd say maybe 10-15 were above .500. I think your 30 wins from a number one is a good target.
Grok says over the last 5 years it takes 90-100+ points to make the NHL playoffs. The Bettman loser point really mess up how many win you need in this whole equation thou. Makes it hard to figure. 30 win from started and 10 or so from the back sounds about right or near enough for me so I can't disgaree with you too much on it.
One last thought on goalies thou a lot of them voodoo except for the truly elite ones which there's maybe 5 in the whole league. I expect a lot of goalies on the move this off season as there's not a lot of UFA goalies this season. The Oilers gotta get a solid NHL starting goalie. Don't need an elite one.
Not sure who all my targets for a goalie would be. I'd be calling about Cossa and Wally(Minny) for sure. Also I'd calling about a goalie is Ottawa....Ullmark isn't looking very happy right now and big changes are coming to Ottawa. At least Brady "the Turttle" is leaving. So that's 3 goalie targets right there already.
Cheers!!!
