With the Paris Olympic Summer games officially starting Friday - but the football competition starting today, let's hear your predictions:

1) Who will win the most medals, and how many?
2) Who will win the most Gold medals, and how many?
3) What will the medal breakdown be for France?
4) Name a long shot to medal in their event

1) Most Medals: USA with ca 120.

2) Most Gold Medals: USA with ca 50.

3) Paris Medal Breakdown: Besides 1. United States and 2. China - 3. France, Britain, or Australia

4) Long Shot Medalist: Noelie Yarigo (Benin) - Women's 800m.
 
I would put Serbia in every question/predictions, but that's wasn't going to be true... so🙂

1. USA - 115
2. USA - 41
3. USA/China/Serbia
4. Ivana Španović ❤ (Serbia) - long jump

USA is going to win 115 medals

China will win 38 gold
3) What will the medal breakdown be for France?
70 medals --> 30 Gold, 25 Silver, 15 Bronze
4) Name a long shot to medal in their event
Canada's 4 X 100m Relay Team

Since you edited question number 3 I have to change my answer.

France will win about 55 medals. 15 Gold, 20 Silver, and 20 Bronze.
 
So now that the Olympics are over here's how we did:

1. Most Medals - USA - 126
2. Most Gold Medals - Tie between the US and China - 40
3. France's medal count: 16 Gold, 26 Silver, 22 Bronze - 64 Total
4. Long shot to medal:
@pentazepam - Noelie Yarigo (Benin) - Women's 800m - Did not medal
@AzdajaD - Ivana Španović ❤ (Serbia) - long jump - Did not medal
@CRStals - Canada 4 X 100m Relay - Women did not medal but Men won Gold

It was expected that the USA team would win more medals. They are prepared athletes with training conditions.
