Is Pelé GOAT of Football?

I believe that at that time he was indeed the best player and that is why he earned the title of king of football. But in modern times there are also great players, and who knows, he may deserve the title of king of our time. Every king has his successor. Only God is eternal.
 
I hear some football fans supporting Messi, others Maradona as the best player ever . I think I like more Maradona for this title for many reasons . I liked more his style , his personality , his football achievements
 
I guess it comes down to personal preference, my fav will always be Maradona 😛

I respect Pelé, but in my opinion he was the best of his time. He was considered "king" because he scored 1,000 goals. Football has changed a lot over time. For me, the best of all time, speaking of technical quality and not quantity of goals, was Ranaldinho Gaúcho.
 
Maradona was the ultimate warrior in Football, nobody could match his combined devilment and skill!
 
Every time has its heroes but Pele is undoubtedly the greatest footballer in history.
 
When Pele went to play in the USA in the 70s he was asked why the G.O.A.T was coming to the MLS ? and his answer was is George Best coming here?

Franz Beckenbauer once said that Pele was the best. So, who am i to contradict the "Kaiser"?
 
Maradonna has a shout and also Messe. At that level they are almost the same standard, not much point in comparisons.
 
To define this issue, we would have to put the current players to play with the same technical level and rules as before.

That's what I was about to coment.

Even ball weight is different, so it's hard to compare.

We can compare Pelé to Maradona, as they both played the same era, but with Messi, CR7 and so on... It's impossible to compare
