I saw a quote today "Poker is a game of incomplete information played to completion". and I had also seen a quote "How Chess imitates Life" maybe it was a book by Vishy Anand or Kasparov don't exactly remember. This made me think about how chess, and poker and all these games tend to show some kind of similarity with our own lives.

Also because game theory can be connected to life, we are all making some choices that change the course of our lives. The choices could be right but there is randomness or variance in life too. Just because you made a fundamentally correct decision doesn't guarantee that you get a positive result. Thats same for both poker and chess as well.

Poker is a game of incomplete information played to completion. Chess is a game of complete information played through uncertainty. and life, it is a strange combination of both, we can see the board but we can never see the whole game. Thoughts?

I really like this comparison. In poker, chess, and life, you can make the best decision with the information you have and still get a bad result. The difference is that life combines incomplete information, uncertainty, and randomness all at once.

Both resemble because both are strategical game and highly dynamicity of human mind involved
